Is ABC reconsidering allowing The Bachelorette season featuring Taylor Frankie Paul to air? The show was pulled just three days before the season was set to premiere. The cancellation came after a violent video of Taylor throwing metal chairs at her ex, Dakota Mortensen, surfaced on various media outlets. The alleged domestic violence incident occurred in 2023, with another alleged incident happening in February. Not only did ABC scrap The Bachelorette, but it also hit pause on filming the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Now, there are rumors online that ABC might be considering putting the show on the air again. What is known about this latest development? Keep reading for all the details.

Taylor Frankie Paul Was Supposed To Save The Bachelorette

Taylor Frankie Paul was supposed to help rekindle The Bachelor franchise. She has popularity and a huge fan base that started from TikTok and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. However, the excitement began to dwindle when it was revealed that Paul had slept with Dakota the night before leaving to film the reality dating show. She even reportedly noted that if she ended up pregnant, she would still continue filming.

At that point, fans began to question if she was there for the right reasons or just to gain more fame and popularity. Taylor did reportedly find love on the show, although it was also reported that it was short-lived. Her fixation on Dakota is to blame, according to Reality Steve.

Now, after the domestic violence allegations and videos have been circulating, fans are wondering if the show is ruined forever. Former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay believes the franchise is now tainted and that there is no coming back from everything that has happened. Is she right? Or, will ABC shock everyone by reconsidering their position to air Paul’s season of the show?

Will ABC Reconsider Airing The Bachelorette?

Page Six shared details from a Hollywood insider who believes ABC left the door open for a possible comeback for Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette. If the show does not air, ABC could owe Warner Bros. millions of dollars. The bottom line is making money for the network, and they needed a star who could draw big ratings. They believed that was Paul. The insider noted, “ABC left a window in their statement to bring [the show] back. They haven’t canceled it — they simply paused it.”

A second insider shared that they believe ABC has to find a way to get the season on the air. They also believe that America loves a good comeback story, and Paul could still redeem herself if she seeks help. They said, “I really feel that American loves a comeback story … if Taylor has got the right desire to fix this situation. We’ve been reading about toxic relationships all our lives, and this seems to be a very toxic relationship she has to figure out and so does [Mortensen].”

New Allegations Surface

Right now, the show is still on hold, and these are just speculative thoughts by some who work in the television industry. On Wednesday, new information was released to the media about Taylor Frankie Paul having a third domestic violence incident brought to light. It is currently being investigated, but is believed to have taken place in 2024, also with Dakota Mortensen. After the initial video of their 2023 fight was released, Mortensen was awarded temporary custody of their two-year-old son, Ever. There is said to be a court date coming in the next few weeks regarding custody.

ABC has not spoken publicly about possibly airing the season in the future. However, if allegations keep surfacing of Paul and domestic violence indicents then chances are her season will never be shown on ABC. Do you agree with that decision? Is there any way for Paul to redeem herself?
