‘Bold & Beautiful’ Scott Clifton Lands In ER With Head Injury

Bold & Beautiful star Scott Clifton found himself facing a similar situation as his character, Liam Spencer. He landed in the ER recently with a head injury. What happened? How bad were his injuries? Is he okay now? Keep reading to get all the details. 

Bold and Beautiful Scott Clifton Suffers Head Injury

Bold and Beautiful star Scott Clifton recently found himself in the emergency room after suffering from a head injury. Clifton went to Instagram to share what happened to him and to explain why there are visible scars on his face in recent scenes with Darin Brooks. He joked that Liam no longer has the monopoly on head trauma. 

Clifton explained that he had been taking care of his 81-year-old mother and found himself in a bad situation in the middle of the night. He said, “Well, sometimes life imitates art, and Liam no longer enjoys the monopoly on head trauma. The night before we were set to shoot these scenes, I’d just come off of a particularly stressful day managing a crisis to do with my 81-year-old mother (everyone’s fine), couldn’t sleep, and got up in the middle of the night—a little too quickly, apparently—to use the bathroom.”

Scott shared that he knew something was wrong and felt like he was about to faint. That’s all he remembers, and when he woke up, he was slumped over the bathtub. He said the upper half of his body was mangled inside the tub while his feet dangled out. 

Clifton continued his explanation of that night and said, “Blood everywhere, a splitting headache, and an impregnable determination to claw my way to a mirror and see just how much extra work I’d created for the B&B makeup department in a few short hours. And that’s when I noticed the giant hole in my face.”

His Night In The ER

Scott Clifton went on to say that he spent the night with the ER doctors who got him scanned, cleaned up, and stitched. They also told him there was no way that any makeup could be near a makeup brush for a few weeks. He said, “Oh and also, I should prepare myself for some temporary memory loss and cognitive sluggishness from the concussion.”

Scott said when the producers found out what happened, they encouraged him to take time to rest and recuperate. Clifton is grateful for the support he has gotten from the cast and crew on the Bold & the Beautiful. He said, “The next day my phone was flooded with the most loving and concerned texts from the cast and crew, and that’s really the reason I’m posting about this: I am so sickeningly lucky to be a part of this team, this family, this wholly benevolent daytime empire.”
