‘Young and the Restless’ Nick Newman Gets New Love Interest? First Look

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) might have a new romantic connection on the horizon. Jade Harlow is joining the cast as Marie Kirkland, and there’s speculation she could become Nick’s next love interest.

Marie is set to appear for the first time on August 10, which is when viewers will get to know her and learn pieces of her background. Marie arrives in Genoa City with a complicated past that she’s hoping to leave behind.

Nick Newman Always Saves Damsels in Distress 

Nick is known for wanting to help women in trouble, so Marie might be someone he feels compelled to assist. This could be true, depending on what sort of challenges Marie faced before coming to town.

Even so, it’s not the best moment for Nick to start a new relationship, since he needs to stay focused on his recovery from addiction. Getting involved with someone romantically could create setbacks for Nick, particularly if it distracts him from maintaining his sobriety.

Still, sometimes feelings develop regardless, so Nick might find himself attracted to Marie. Things could become even more complex if Nick meets Marie during his rehab meetings.

Marie Could Be a Recovering Addict Too

Writers might feel it’s time for some new love in Nick’s life after his awful year.
