‘GH’ Kelly Monaco Speaks Out, Reveals Final Photo From Filming

General Hosptial is saying goodbye to longtime actress Kelly Monaco. It was revealed more than a month ago that she was being fired from her 21-year role as Sam McCall. Her mother shared recently that she filmed her final scene just days before her 21-year anniversary. Now, Kelly is speaking out once more and sharing her final photo from the set. General Hospital fans have been outraged over the ABC soap firing Kelly Monaco who has played Sam McCall for 21 years. She has been a big part of Port Charles through the years.

Everyone is waiting patiently for Kelly to spill the tea on what she thinks led to her being fired. She has made a few cryptic posts in the years since Billy Miller left the show. More recently, she posted on the anniversary of Billy’s death saying that soon she would tell their story.

She replied to a comment on another post that has since been deleted saying, “‘No primary role’.. do your homework. When Billy Miller was fired, Sam’s storyline stopped. Stripping Sam of every characteristic she had. Something I worked for decades to build… Slowly dismantling her, into a character that I did not recognize, let alone the audience. Call it what you will… retaliation at it [sic] finest. I will give a proper statement. The truth will set you free.”

Kelly said this in response to someone saying she was unwilling to take the pay cut the other actors were forced to accept. She denied that saying that she took the cut as asked.

Now as fans wait anxiously to see what horrible fate awaits Sam, she shared one of her final pictures on Instagram from the set with a few of her closest co-stars. The photo features her on-screen family, Kate Mansi, Nancy Lee Grahn and Kristen Vaganos. The caption read, “Last scene with the Davis girls. 😘🥲🙏🏻 still doesn’t make any sense to me.”

Her On-Screen Mom Comments

Kelly Monaco’s on-screen mother Nancy Lee Grahn commented on her post. She shared a quote by Albert Einstein. She said, “‘In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.’ — Albert Einstein. I love you. All will be well. There are some things a TV mother just knows. ❤️😥❤️💫.”

Kelly has played in more than 2,000 episodes as Sam McCall. She will be dearly missed. Many are hoping that perhaps the show will change their minds and bring her back in the future. How she dies on the soap has yet to be revealed.

While Kelly has filmed her final day on set, her actual final air date has also not been shared yet.
