‘General Hospital’ Sam Recast, Lindsay Hartley, Permanent?

General Hospital Has Lindsay Hartley Stepping Back In

Soap Opera Digest reported that Lindsay Hartley is stepping back into the role of Sam McCall on General Hospital this week. After the news of Kelly Monaco losing her job and even being killed off completely this fall, many wonder if this change adding Hartley to the cast could be permanent.

The exact date that Monaco is set to leave the soap has not been disclosed to fans. It’s also unknown how the soap plans to kill Sam off. Rumors flew that perhaps she would somehow die in an accident and her liver would be donated to Lulu Spencer. However, that is all unconfirmed at this time.

As for Hartley returning to the role of Sam, fortunately for die-hard Kelly Monaco fans, the change is not permanent.

The episodes she will be featured in were filmed the last time Hartley stepped in for Monaco on the ABC soap. GH frequently shoots parts of episodes out of order, which is why Hartley will return once again this week.

The episodes she will be featured in are carried on from the last time stepping in for Kelly. Fans can recall that Hartley portrayed Sam McCall during the funeral for Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and TJ’s (Tajh Bellow) unborn baby, who died when surrogate Kristina (Kate Mansi) fell out a window during a confrontation with Ava (Maura West).

So, fans can expect to see Kelly return after these scenes with Hartley wrap up sometime soon.

Kelly Monaco Threatens To Reveal Secrets

General Hospital fans know that Kelly Monaco and Billy Miller were close before he died by suicide. These two have always seemed to have each other’s backs.

Now, on the one year anniversary of his death, Kelly shared a photo on Instagram of him and her together. She captioned the post, “Duces “I’ve got your back and you always had mine” I will tell our story soon enough…. 😇🙏🏻❤️ I love and miss you… and beyond @generalhospitalabc @natevarni @disney @hulu #craigerwich #robmills”

Many think this is a clue that Kelly is about to spill some secrets to fans involving her and Billy’s relationship or things that occurred backstage on the soap.
