Unlike many Bachelor couples, Kaity Biggar and Zach Shallcross began planning their lives together right after filming ended. She moved from her hometown in Canada to Austin, Texas. Despite their reality TV fame, the two resumed their normal lives. Kaity Biggar remains in the nursing profession.

After postponing their wedding several times, Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar tied the knot in a private wedding in May 2025. They announced the happy news in June. Knowing that many viewers are heavily invested in their romance, Kaity Biggar keeps fans updated through social media. She recently opened up her Instagram DMs to questions from fans. And, of course, one fan asked the number one question newlyweds get: when are you having kids?

The Bachelor winner shared a video response that included her hugging a loved one’s toddler. “Hopefully sometime this year,” Kaity Biggar said about their plans for a baby of their own. They’ve been practicing their parenting on Honey, the adorable puppy they got in September.

But they may wait to grow their family until after they celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

She Reveals Where They’ll Celebrate First Anniversary

In early January, Kaity Biggar took to TikTok to seek advice and help from her followers. She asked for suggestions for somewhere in the U.S. she could go with her husband to celebrate their first anniversary. The Bachelor Nation star added that she can’t leave the country. Although she didn’t say why, fans speculated that the Canadian native is in the process of getting her green card and didn’t want to deal with the hassle of getting back into the country.

Her followers came through with dozens of suggestions. Some of the top suggestions were Hawaii, Rhode Island, and Michigan. During the recent Instagram Q&A, Kaity Biggar revealed the winner: Maine. She asked for recommendations. On her TikTok video, many suggested Bar Harbor.

Kaity Biggar also revealed during the Q&A that she no longer wears the engagement ring Zach Shallcross gave her on The Bachelor finale. However, she still has it and plans to make something special with it. “It is a very sentimental ring to us,” she wrote.
