‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Carly Sends Brennan Into ‘Heartbroken Rage’

General Hospital fans saw Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) barge into Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) bedroom on Friday’s episode. Carly wasn’t expecting Jack at all, and he doesn’t even have a key to her place. So after some drinking, he thought it would be a good idea to pick the lock. It’s obvious to him that Carly was with someone. He demands to know who it is. Next week is looking to be filled with tons of intense drama as these two air out all their dirty laundry. General Hospital: Laura Wright, Chris McKenna Reveal What’s To Come

General Hospital fan favorite Laura Wright and co-star Chris McKenna spoke with Soap Opera Digest and spilled some tea about what’s to come for Jack and Carly. As Jack barged in and demanded to know where “he” is, everyone wondered if this would be the moment Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Carly were caught. At the moment, nobody is even exactly sure where Valentin is. Plus, was this a setup by Valentin and Carly to lure Brennan in? Regardless, there is about to be some major fireworks. 

According to the actors, Jack will toss Carly’s robe at her, demanding she get dressed. Of course, Carly, being who she is, will not like that one bit. So, when Jack demands to know her new lover’s identity, she tells him. 

McKenna says of the moment Jack finds out, “I love the way that this was written. That moment for Jack is devastating. They really set it up to be the most painful way he could find out, the most painful way to catch them.” He then goes on to describe Jack’s emotions in that moment. He said, “I was trying to come up with the words like what Jack’s feeling, and the best I could come up with is ‘heartrage’, heartbroken rage. That’s what it’s like for him in the moment. He’s thinking, ‘This can’t be real. This can’t have happened. I can’t be this stupid. I can’t have been this blind.’”

Fans Will See New Side Of Jack Brennan

Finding out that the woman he loves is sleeping with his most despised enemy will be humiliating and devastating for Jack. Chris McKenna said this will give fans a look at a side of Jack’s personality they have not seen before. He said, “Jack is drunk and a little unhinged and the audience finally gets a glimpse of what’s going on underneath that rigid exterior of Jack’s.”

Laura Wright also had some things to say about the intense moments fans will see play out during the week of May 4. She shared that Carly isn’t thrilled with hurting Jack. She would have loved for him to be the man she thought he was when they first fell in love.

McKenna and Wright both had big praise for each other, and also for James Patrick Stuart. McKenna said there will be some great dialogue between them all, and Jack still has some fight in him, so he won’t just take this news on the chin and move on. 

They agree the scenes were incredible and fans will love it. However, Wright threw in that fans rooting for Carly and Jack probably won’t get quite as much enjoyment out of it.
