‘Counting On’ Rarely-Seen Jackson Duggar Resurfaces Performing With A Bates

Counting On alum Jackson Duggar has kept many fans wondering about his status today. He’s among the many Duggar kids who are not active on social media. Jackson also attended the ALERT Academy, a behavioral boot camp that some of his siblings attended. Some of them are Josh and Joseph Duggar, who are both imprisoned for immoral crimes. ‘Counting On‘: Jackson Duggar Shuts Down Critics About His Family

Earlier this year, a clip of Jackson’s interview from December 2025 surfaced online. It featured the Counting On alum shutting down critics about his family allegedly being part of the “cult” of Bill Gothard. Jackson said, “Because of a man named Bill Gothard who went around, and he shared the gospel and did some different things, but he also had some other things that were kind of off.” Jackson went on to say that they went to Gothard’s conference once or twice a year, but they were never a part of his malicious antics.

“We grew up with great parents who taught us about the Bible and shared the gospel with us,” he added. Jackson also shared that Michelle did have some questionable ways of disciplining them when they were younger. “She would say, ‘all right, I’m gonna take you to the van and have some encouragement,” he says during a podcast with Jinger. But it wasn’t really an “encouragement.” Instead, it was a physical punishment.

Jackson Resurfaces Performing With A Bates Family Member

Jackson appeared in a new Instagram post where he can be seen performing with a choir in Greenville, South Carolina. It was at the 2026 Rejoice Music & Family Conference. But what’s noticeable is Erin Bates’ appearance in the post. It just shows that Jackson is not in the same league as his imprisoned brothers. While there isn’t much detail about Jackson in the post, it proves that he’s fully committed to serving in their church. The caption reads, “The 2026 Rejoice Music & Family Conference was filled with unforgettable moments, Christ-centered teaching, meaningful fellowship, and music that lifted our hearts in worship to the Lord. We’re so grateful for everyone who joined us and for all God continues to do through this conference!”

There hasn’t been any news about his courtship status. But it was previously reported that the Counting On alum had a failed courtship with a woman named Marjorie Jackson, who later got engaged to another man. Career-wise, Jackson previously worked as a handyman, helping his older siblings fix things in their houses. But during a podcast interview with his sister, Jinger, he expressed his desire to have a future in the ministry.
