Fans Creeped Out By Jim Bob & Michelle’s Grave
Some Counting On fans on social media react to a photo featuring Jim Bob and Michelle’s grave. It shows their faces alongside their birthdays. There were also vacant spots for the day they passed, and many fans were creeped out by it. Additionally, it has a written bible quote from PSALMS 127-3, saying, “LO, CHILDREN ARE AN HERITAGE OF THE LORD.” Several people pointed out that it’s common for some families in the U.S. But it’s a very unusual thing to see in other countries.

- “I don’t understand engraving the grave in advance. It seems like terrible luck.”
- “Common in the USA for folks with enough money. It’s a gift to surviving family to square things away before death.”
- “Engraving it one thing, but already adding a photo looks really creepy to me.”
- “It’s very normal where I’m from. It’s usually cheaper to have the known information (names, dates of birth, any desired quote, etc) engraved when purchasing the plaque/cross/monument. I don’t think it’s bad luck. Death is the only certain thing in one’s life. Easier/ cheaper for the surviving relatives, too.”
- “Quite creepy. Here in Italy would be considered bad luck placing photo and names before death.”
- “I get owning it in advance, that’s common enough here in Australia. But we don’t pre-label them, that’s just depressing.”
