Two Men Rumored For ‘The Bachelor’ 2026 Lead

It’s about time for ABC to cast the next lead for The Bachelor. The 2026 season will most likely begin filming in September. The Golden Bachelor is currently filming. Once that series wraps up, they will prepare to film. Of course, to do so, they need a lead, and there are rumors circulating online about two of the possible candidates being looked at. Who are they, and what do fans think about them?

Two Possible Leads For The Bachelor 

The Bachelor 2026 is a historic one. This will mark Season 30 of the hit franchise. There will be a new showrunner taking over for the upcoming season, and fans are currently seeing his work as Bachelor in Paradise airs on ABC. Scott Teti is the man calling the shots. So far, there is no word on whether the show will be any different from what it has been.

Since ABC confirmed the show was renewed for Season 30, a lead needs to be found. Many are hoping producers seek out a new lead, someone not from the franchise. However, there are already two men who have been discussed on social media as being in the running for the leading role. Who are they?

Rumor has it that Jason Tartick and Jonathon Johnson are both in the running to be The Bachelor. Jason is looking to settle down and start a family. However, Jonathon is still young and was just featured on Bachelor in Paradise. 

For those who have forgotten or do not know them, Jason was engaged to former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe. Jonathon appeared on Jenn Tran’s season.

Fans had a big reaction to the speculation that one of these two men could get the role. Sadly, not very many seem thrilled about either prospect.

Fans had a lot to say about Jason and Jonathon being two potential candidates for the leading role of The Bachelor. Here are some of the comments.

• “Definitely would take Jason over Jonathan. Jason can be cringey and thirsty but I think he will have an interesting season and I do believe he at least wants to settle down.”
• “There aren’t good options. Just premiere Bachelorette in January and skip the Bachelor. We all can think of a million better women in the franchise than men at this point.”
• “I would actually quit watching if it was Jason.”
• “Both are horrible choices but honestly I would take Jason over Johnathon and that is saying a lot 🤣.”

So it looks like ABC might have a problem if either man is selected. Many fans suggested Spencer as an option for the new lead. So far, no official announcement has confirmed the identity of the next lead.
