‘Bachelor’ Alum Joins Netflix’s ‘Squid Games VIP’ Competition

Former contestants from the Bachelor Nation franchise pop up on other reality competitions all the time. Popular Bachelorette Hannah Brown competed on – and won – Dancing With The Stars and Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. Now another alum from The Bachelor is among the celebrities on Netflix’s new Squid Game VIP competition. Keep reading for all the details on the exciting new reality show.

Netflix Announces Celebrity Squid Game VIP

Netflix’s South Korean thriller Squid Game riveted viewers when it debuted on the streamer in 2021. Contestants in the fictional reality competition played children’s games for a cash prize. But Squid Game was different because the contestants were killed off one by one until one victor was left.

The show’s popularity led to a spinoff with real contestants. Squid Game: The Challenge followed the same premise as the series, but obviously, the contestants weren’t killed if they lost challenges. The spinoff featured regular, everyday folks. But now, Netflix is ready to put celebrities to the test.

The streaming giant announced Squid Game: The VIP Challenge, featuring some of the most well-known celebrities.

Bachelor Alum Among Cast

The cast of the new Netflix reality competition is made up of several contestants who have appeared on multiple other reality competitions. But one Bachelor alum makes their first appearance on a reality competition that isn’t a dating show.

Hannah Godwin was a contestant on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. Ironically, Colton Underwood has competed on several reality competitions since his time on the ABC show, most recently on Peacock’s The Traitors. After failing to find a connection with him, she found love with Dylan Barbour on Season 6 of Bachelor In Paradise. The couple tied the knot in 2023.

Since her time on Bachelor, Hannah Godwin has focused on modeling and being a social media influencer. She shared the exciting news about her Netflix debut on her Instagram.

“I’ve been up to something 🤭 thrilledddd to announce that I’m joining Squid Game: The VIP Challenge, coming soon to [Netflix],” she wrote on social media.

The Bachelor alum joins Dylan Efron (Traitors, DWTS), Kim Zolciak (Real Housewives), influencer Kristy Sarah, Mel B (Spice Girls), Ryan Serhant (Owning Manhattan), Tristan Thompson (NBA player, Kardashians), and Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 contestant Viper.

The competition is fierce. “I plan to cause total chaos. I did learn that every single decision should be considered in great detail. For season 3, I will surely use a microscope with every choice I make,” Viper said about the VIP Challenge.

Stay tuned for a premiere date on the exciting Squid Game spinoff.
