Robert Irwin Sets The Record Straight On ‘Bachelor’ Rumors

Robert Irwin has been in the public eye since he was a toddler. He was just 2 when his beloved father, “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, died after getting stung by a stingray. The Irwin family, including Robert, sister Bindi, and mother Terri, continued Steve Irwin’s legacy with a zoo in Australia, among other ventures.

Robert Irwin gained newfound attention as a contestant on Dancing With The Stars. He took home the Mirrorball Trophy in November 2025. Calls for the 22-year-old to look for love on ABC’s The Bachelor began when he was on DWTS. Now, months after returning to his life in Australia, the wildlife conservationist set the record straight about rumors about the reality dating show.

Robert Irwin Sets The Record Straight On Bachelor Rumors

Robert Irwin is not among the DWTS winners included in the fan convention, though his name could be added later. However, could viewers see him on ABC’s The Bachelor?

Robert Irwin was a frontrunner on Season 34 of Dancing With The Stars. How all grown up, viewers of the dance competition swooned over him, sparking a fan wish that he might look for love on The Bachelor. He played coy at the time, but fan frenzy never died down.

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Australian set the record straight on the rumors he’ll be the next Bachelor lead.

“Never say never. I’m in this realm right now where I’m like, never say never… It’s a strange world. Anything could happen.”

ABC put The Bachelor on pause until later this year to air another season of The Bachelorette instead. Taylor Frankie Paul’s season kicks off on Sunday, March 22. Stay tuned to see if Robert Irwin will be the next Bachelor.
