‘General Hospital’ Shooter Is NOT Who Everyone Thinks, Will They Strike Again?

General Hospital fans have suspicions about who could be responsible for shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). There have been numerous clues dropped that appear to implicate multiple people. Are writers just throwing everyone off on purpose? Chances are, they wouldn’t make the shooter anyone who is too obvious. Plus, since Drew didn’t die, will the killer strike again? The drama surrounding Drew is far from over.

General Hospital Will Shock Viewers With Shooter’s Identity

General Hospital viewers will be shocked when the person who tried to kill Congressman Drew Cain is revealed. Multiple theories are floating around. But they all seem too obvious. Would Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) really run out and shoot Drew? It’s suspicious, but her obvious concern for him seems legit. She would be the most obvious suspect, so that rules her out.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) continues to make herself look very guilty. She and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) almost appear to be accusing each other of the crime. It’s no secret they both want him out of their lives. Nina even lied to the police about being on a walk with Willow. Is she really trying to protect her daughter, or is she guilty of shooting Drew? Chances are, it’s not Nina either.

Did Portia do it? Since she was in bed with Dr. Gannon when the shooting happened, it’s not her either unless she shot Drew and went straight to his bed to secure her alibi.

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has reason to hate Drew, and she publicly threatened him. She was gone for some time, but claims she was with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) in the basement. Was she really? She didn’t appear too shocked when she was told he was shot. Writers want everyone to think she is a prime suspect, but chances are she’s not the one who pulled the trigger.

If none of these suspects is guilty of trying to end Drew Cain, then who is?

Who Shot Drew?

Of course, whoever shot Drew didn’t succeed in ending him permanently. Will this person try to finish the job at General Hospital? It’s possible that someone could pull a Cyrus move and inject him with a drug to ensure he dies. But who is this shooter who failed at taking him out?

There has been speculation that Aunt Stella could be the culprit. However, she implicated Curtis Ashford, and there is no way she would blame him for something she did. It just doesn’t seem like her character to take such drastic action.

Others have suggested that Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) double agent, Colette, is the guilty party. She could have been hired by Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) to get rid of Drew since he’s becoming more of a liability to his plans.

Jacinda is back in town as well. She was having a drink with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and then went to try to weasel more money out of Nina and Portia. Could she have been the one to shoot Drew?

These are all possibilities, but the real culprit could actually be someone even more unsuspecting. Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) is upset that Drew wanted to have him arrested for seeing his own sister. He also tried to get Rocco to go with him to see Scout before Danny was officially served with a restraining order.

Could his father’s lifestyle be rubbing off on him? Since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) works with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he has guns, and Danny no doubt knows where they are and how to use them. He might have decided to just take matters into his own hands. It’s not fair that Scout can’t be with her family, so if Drew’s gone, then there is nothing stopping her.

Plus, Scout ends up missing again from camp. Did Danny go get her and take her back to the Quartermaines? The hairstyle in the shadow of the killer looks like Willow’s, but it could be Danny’s as well. If the shooter is not Danny, then whoever it is could also have been wearing a wig to avoid being recognized.
