‘General Hospital’ Drew Shot: Scout’s Real Father Revealed?

General Hospital fans were somewhat excited when Tuesday’s new episode revealed someone shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). He was shot twice in the back by a shadowy figure. Who could have done the deed? The list of suspects is long. Chances are, as much as some fans want him dead, he will survive the brutal attack. Trina Robinson and Kai were on the suspect list, but they were hiding away in the bedroom as the shots rang out. Chances are, they will be the ones to call 911, which will end up saving his life. However, things still might get more complicated for the congressman. Will this be when Scout’s real father is revealed?

General Hospital: Drew Might Not Die, But Will Still Get Rude Awakening

General Hospital fans might not see Drew Cain be put six feet under, but they still might be able to watch his world crumble before his eyes. The list of people who wanted Drew dead continues to grow. If Trina and Kai do the right thing and call 911, Drew’s life will most likely be spared.

The shooting happened after Judge Heran’s body was discovered floating near the pier. She was strangled, and it just so happened to be after Drew was using her bribe as leverage over several people. Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was especially hopeful that this would get her kids back. Now that the judge has met her maker, her chances once again diminished.

Several people look extremely guilty of shooting the congressman. If he does in fact survive and is rushed to General Hospital, staff may find it difficult to treat him, as there is so much built-up hostility toward the man. However, it is their duty to save lives, even those as scummy as Drew Cain.

Saving someone’s life and messing with it are two different things. There might be a discrepancy noted in his medical charts that causes some concern. Perhaps this would have something to do with blood type and that of his daughter’s. Although Scout is not old enough to donate blood, she may declare she wants to, which will give Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) an idea.

Everyone already knows she can alter blood tests. What if she decides to help out Scout and everyone around her by fixing tests to indicate that Scout is not really Drew’s daughter?

Drew Loses Scout?

Drew messed up and had restraining orders issued against just about everyone who can legally take care of Scout since Drew will either be dead or in critical condition. If Portia decides to step in and help the situation. She could get revenge on Drew and help Scout.

Perhaps Portia will decide to alter tests to show that it’s really Jason Morgan that is Scout’s father, not Drew. Then, Drew would suffer and get a little taste of his own medicine. Plus, Scout would get to be with her brother and the Quartermaine’s. It would also nullify the restraining orders since he wouldn’t be deemed as Scout’s legal guardian anymore.

So even if he is technically the biological father, Portia has the power to fix that and end a lot of problems for Scout. Will she take the chance and get revenge on Drew while also helping Scout? Now, down the road this could become a huge problem but they will cross that bridge when and if it arrives.
