‘General Hospital’ Michael Easton Teases Big Comeback
Through the years, General Hospital fans have seen Michael Easton portray a few different characters. When he left the show in the summer of 2024, he was playing Hamilton Finn. Dr. Finn happens to be the half-brother of Detective Harrison Chase. Fans were stunned when he announced in June last year that after ten years, he was leaving the hit daytime drama. Finn entered rehab, and that was that. As for Easton, he has been using his time off-screen to connect with his family. Now, after nearly eight months without a post on Instagram, he’s back. And he’s not just back with any post; he’s back with new headshots, hinting that his return to daytime television could be imminent. What did he say?
Is Michael Easton Heading Back To General Hospital?
When Michael Easton left General Hospital in June 2024, he made it clear to all that he was not done with his acting career. He spoke with Soap Opera Digest and said, “I’m not done. I think I have more to give as an actor. But I think of it much the same — I’m just traveling up the coast and I’m looking for that right part. I’m looking for that next great storyline. I don’t know where that will come from, but I’m not done.”

Could that next big storyline be reprising the role of Hamilton Finn or perhaps even a new character? Easton certainly has fans talking about an imminent comeback as he went to Instagram to share new headshots. His caption seems to insinuate that he’s back to acting again. He said, “Back from sabbatical and stopped by the studio of my buddy @jacksondavisphoto This guy is so talented he even got me to smile. #photoshoot”
Whether or not it’s General Hospital he’s returning to remains to be seen. However, he did have several co-stars from the soap commenting on his post. Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase) commented on the photos.

Roles He Has Played
Michael Easton began his run on daytime television a long time ago. In 1990, he landed his first role on Days of Our Lives. After a few years, he moved on to other projects before joining General Hospital. At one point, he left the soap for One Life to Live only to end up returning to GH in 2012.
So far, nobody has confirmed that Easton is making a comeback to Port Charles, but it looks like there is at least a chance this fan favorite could be returning.
