‘General Hospital’ Fans Disgusted By Shocking Kissing Cousins Storyline

Soap opera fans are willing to suspend reality and accept all kinds of outlandish storylines. One of the most iconic General Hospital storylines was when Mikkos Cassadine built a weather machine to freeze Port Charles during the “Ice Princess” storyline.  But kissing cousins, also involving the Cassadines, goes too far.  General Hospital Teen Characters Share First Kiss

Soap operas love a pregnancy storyline. But once the baby is born, the writers never know what to do. The kids are rarely seen again until they’re teenagers. General Hospital put the teen set front and center in recent months, with Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr,) Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn,) and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) all possible suspects in the “Who Shot Drew?” storyline.

Danny and Charlotte’s friendship took an unexpected turn when they shared a kiss. Soap fans usually love young romances, but there’s a huge problem here: Danny and Charlotte are second cousins!

Charlotte is the daughter of Valentin Cassadine and Lulu Spencer. Danny’s parents are the late Sam McCall and Jason Morgan. Fans know that Sam’s mother, Alexis Davis, is the daughter of Mikkos. Valentin is the son of Victor. Victor and Mikkos are brothers, making Danny and Charlotte second cousins once removed.

Soap Fans Disgusted By Shocking Kissing Cousins Storyline

Danny and Charlotte’s kiss has been the talk of social media since the youngsters locked lips. Many General Hospital fans blasted the show’s writers for not knowing the history of the characters. One fan took to Reddit to vent about the storyline, which they called “a bridge too far.”
