‘General Hospital’ Shocking Twist, Britt’s Huntington’s Disease Was A Lie

General Hospital fans may be in for a big shocker right along with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). There is no known cure for Huntington’s disease, and with Britt back, it seems unlikely they would want her to have a terminal illness. So, what if it turns out that she never had the disease to begin with? Let’s dive into why that could be what happens, and it was all one big lie.
General Hospital’s Britt Was Never Dying
Surely General Hospital writers would not bring Britt back just to kill her off with Huntington’s disease. There has to be something behind the shots she keeps giving herself. It’s highly unlikely that it’s a cure for the deadly disease. What sounds more likely is that it’s either a medication that mimics symptoms of Huntington’s, or it’s not even a real med.
Bold & Beautiful just had a storyline in which Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was dying of a brain tumor. In the end, it was all a lie made up by the doctor to get money from Liam’s rich father, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). He was given medication to produce symptoms so he would believe he was really sick. So, could General Hospital be doing the same thing to Britt?
It’s still not known who is behind the scenes being the pupper master. Some believe it is Peter August (Wes Ramsey). He is Britt’s half-brother, so it would explain why he cares about her, yet at the same time, he is using her medication against her.
She believes the meds are saving her and that she can’t miss even one dose. It’s the perfect way for them to coerce Britt into doing her job in the lab. As far as Huntington’s is concerned, if the mystery boss does turn out to be Peter, he could have easily had test results switched out in Port Charles. The symptoms Britt was having could have all been in her head.
It wouldn’t be the first time tests were altered at General Hospital.

She Has To Discover The Truth
When the time comes to return to Port Charles, Britt may be panicked about possibly not having her medication. When she’s reunited with her mother, Liesel Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), she may insist Britt be checked out at the hospital to make sure she’s okay. This could include another test to confirm Huntington’s. There’s a big possibility the test will be negative.
Britt might have been forced into helping with whatever secret lab experiment this is for nothing.
It’s the perfect scenario. Britt isn’t really dying, and she gets another shot at life in Port Charles. Of course, her life will be filled with some drama as she works toward getting to know Rocco.
It would also give her and Jason a second shot at finishing their love story.
What do you think will happen? Is Britt really sick, or was it all a big lie?
