General Hospital fans saw the return of Kelly Thiebaud this week on the soap. Until now, nobody was sure exactly who she was returning as. There were many theories floating around the internet about who she could be. Now, she is speaking out and sharing exactly who she will be portraying. What did Kelly share with fans in a recent interview?

General Hospital Introduced To Kelly Thiebaud’s Character This Week

Kelly Thiebaud spoke out in a new interview with TV Insider and put all the rumors to rest. General Hospital fans have had many theories. Of course, the most popular one is that Britt Westbourne is not really dead. Since she has been brought up multiple times over the past few weeks, it seemed likely to most.

However, everyone saw Britt die in her mother’s arms after being stuck with a poisoned hook, courtesy of Heather Weber. Plus, she was facing a grim diagnosis with Huntington’s Disease. The cards were stacked against Britt at the time.

Other possibilities flew around that maybe Kelly returned as Britt’s long-lost twin sister. Still more theories surfaced that she was playing a completely different character who just happened to look like Britt.

Now, the guessing game is over. Who is Thiebaud playing on the soap? She confirmed that she is returning as Britt Westbourne.

Kelly began playing Britt in 2012, and this is her third time returning to General Hospital. Thiebaud is thrilled to be back on the daytime show. She said, “I feel so lucky to have a character that I really enjoy playing. I definitely missed her.”

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) spotted a woman who looked like Britt in an airport. So far, the show has not revealed her identity, but that will come soon enough.

What’s To Come For Her On The Show?

Kelly Thiebaud reminisced in her interview about her previous experiences on General Hospital. She loved everything about Britt and all the shenanigans she got herself into. She is looking forward to many more of those in the coming months.

As for what’s to come with her character? Of course, where she’s been since being “killed” in 2023 will play a big role. Did Professor Dalton have something to do with her survival? Does her mother know she’s not really dead?

Although she can’t give much away, Thiebaud did say she hopes to see Jason and Britt reunited for another shot at romance. She loves the response the couple got from fans and is hoping to deliver what they want in the future.

Kelly said, “As far as story goes, obviously, I want Britt and Jason to get back together. I’m very much excited to pick up where we left off, to continue to grow as an actor, take the lessons and the experiences I’ve been through, and be better and be more present in my work, be more present on set with people that work so hard to put the show together. That’s just really what I’m focused on.”
