‘General Hospital’ Kelly Thiebaud Back, Britt Returns From The Dead

General Hospital has had some cast changes over the past few months. Now, it’s been shared that Kelly Thiebaud is returning to the daytime soap. Fans saw her die tragically in her mother’s arms in 2023. Now, a few years later, Thiebaud is making a comeback, and she couldn’t be happier. The big question now is whether or not she will be returning as Britt Westbourne or a new character.

General Hospital Resurrects Britt?

General Hospital has had many characters die tragic deaths only to make a miraculous comeback years later. This could be exactly what is happening for Kelly Thiebaud. It’s been confirmed that she is returning to the soap and will appear in her first televised scenes in July.

What isn’t clear is whether or not writers are about to resurrect Britt Westbourne or have Kelly play another role altogether.

Chances are that Thiebaud will be bringing Britt back from the grave. There could be many storylines spun off of her return. She could create trouble for Dante and Lulu, since she impregnated herself with their embryo. Of course, die-hard fans know this baby ended up being Rocco.

It could also signal the return of Nikolas Cassadine. This would open up all sorts of opportunities for the soap. Of course, her romance with Nikolas was ruined since he just happens to be Lulu’s protective half-brother.

There are also many other ways her character could create drama in Port Charles.

Rekindled Romance For Britt?

Before Britt’s untimely death on General Hospital, she was in a romance with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Fans loved them together. Their romance was cut short when she died, and then he was allegedly killed off as well. Now, with both back on the screen, anything can happen.

Britt’s return to Port Charles can reignite these flames and create a new love interest for Jason. It could also flare up some jealousies from past lovers. Anything is possible in the world of soaps.

Right now, it remains unclear exactly how Kelly will fit back into Port Charles. However, in a recent interview, Kelly said, “It is good to be home.”

Executive Producer Frank Valentini also commented on her return. He said, “I am thrilled to have Kelly back on our show. We have some great twists and turns planned for her character.”

Time will tell exactly what’s in store for this beloved actress. What do you think will happen? Is she returning as Britt or as someone else?
