If he’s not blackmailing or threatening someone, he’s off by himself plotting his next move. He’s a character that everyone loves to hate. With as much trouble as he’s been getting himself into lately, many wonder if writers are setting the stage for him to exit the soap. After all, how can he ever redeem himself and recover from the horrible things he’s done lately? Cameron Mathison actually spoke and seemed to confirm Drew’s fate. What did he say?

General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison Reveals If He’s Staying Or Going

General Hospital actor Cameron Mathison has been sharing lots of personal aspects of his life on social media. Although he is the most hated man in Port Charles, in the real world, he’s been deemed one of the nicest men around. He even appears in Christmas movies. Mathison continues to prove he’s a great actor, and the fact that he’s so hated proves as much.

In one of his latest social media posts, Cameron talks about his daughter getting ready to head off to college. A fan asked in the comments if it’s true that he is leaving GH. He replied to them and offered an answer that seemingly confirmed Drew’s fate. Mathison tagged the og poster and simply replied, “No.”

While he could be throwing off fans as some soap stars do, it seems likely he’s telling the truth and Drew isn’t going anywhere. Fans were hoping for a whodunit mystery brewing, but if Mathison is staying put, he would not die in the scenario. However, he could land himself in a coma.

Can His Character Ever Be Redeemed?

Fans wonder if Drew Cain can ever be redeemed for the horrible things he’s done on the show. He didn’t use to be this way. He was a Navy SEAL once upon a time. What changed?

There are tons of theories about how Drew could go from being a decent man to this sinister, dark human. Some think he’s not even really the actual Drew. He could be Shiloh, which would explain his obsession with Willow. He could also have endured some kind of brainwashing while in prison.
