My 600-Lb Life Season 13 star Jonathan Colp opens up about his serious illness amid his weight loss journey. Jonathan had a bright future in life before he succumbed to food addiction. He ballooned to 641 pounds, and it has affected many aspects of his life, including his job as an EMT first responder. Jonathan was determined to turn his life around during his episode and left the show on a positive note. However, he’s been dealing with another complication, hindering his progress. My 600-Lb Life: Jonathan Colp Shares Health Update
Jonathan recently took to social media to share updates about his serious illness. The My 600-Lb Life star revealed that he just got his blood work back. According to Jonathan, there were no abnormalities found in his blood, and there were no indications of odd proteins. He added, “The Bence Jones protein kappa type is possibly still in my urine.” Due to this, he’s looking forward to getting tested again.

Jonathan then said that he’s still suffering from kidney pain. He explained that his kidney is “damaged,” and he’s been curious about where it’s coming from. Jonathan remains faithful amid his serious illness. He wrote, “As always, I put it in God’s hands, and He will do His will, and I will continue to keep fighting. Thank you for the prayers, the good vibes, and all the kind words! The Bence Jones protein in urine isn’t a good sign, but back to the drawing board lol.” Many fans also took to Jonathan’s comments section to wish him well.

Jonathan Continues To Thrive
Jonathan has yet to share updates about his weight loss journey. But many of his posts today indicate that he was able to get back to his work. His FB bio states that he works as a paramedic in EMS (Emergency Medical Services) at Franklin Hospital. He’s still going strong with Tzena Finney Colp and even shared a photo with her earlier this year.

It’s also noticeable how healthy Jonathan looks in his photo, far from his heartbreaking condition when he first met Dr. Now. Johnathan dropped 216 pounds by the end of his episode, bringing his weight down to 425 pounds. At this point, My 600-Lb Life fans can only hope that he’ll provide new updates about his physical goals.
