Kelly Jo Bates Shares Beautiful Reunion With Erin & Henry

Bringing Up Bates star Kelly Jo Bates has been keeping fans updated on Erin Bates’ medical condition following the birth of Henry. Things appeared dire at first when Erin was placed in intensive care after being diagnosed with a severe kidney and UTI infection, which led to sepsis. A few nights ago, Erin suffered a seizure, which left her family more heartbroken and scared of what could happen. Chad Paine begged for prayers and said he couldn’t lose his best friend. Their prayers have been answered, and Erin is slowly on her way to recovery. As things finally take a turn for the better, let’s look at two touching reunions between Erin and sweet baby Henry.

Kelly Jo Bates Shares Beautiful Moment

Erin Bates and Chad Paine welcomed Henry Blythe on August 25. He was placed in the NICU and, therefore, was away from Erin for some time. Kelly Jo shared a precious video just three days after Henry’s birth of her daughter being reunited with her newborn son in the NICU.

In the video, Erin is touching him and telling him how much she loves him. “You Are My Sunshine” was playing throughout the video. The nurses told her she could come down whenever she wanted. Sadly, it was after this that Erin’s complications following birth continued to worsen. On September 1, Chad shared an update with fans, noting that Erin had gotten worse and was being cared for in ICU. He said, “We had asked for prayer for recovery for Erin due to complications. Her labor was longer and more intense than previous births.”

Chad shared a black and white photo of Erin in a hospital bed, sleeping. He asked for prayers for his wife as she continued to battle the infection that had taken over her body.

On September 4, he shared another update. He shared more photos and said, “Erin suffered a lengthy and severe seizure. Up to this point, Erins infection was getting better, but we found ourselves back in a place of heartache, uncertainty, and tears.
She is in the ICU, and the doctors are running scans and tests to determine the cause. Erin is extremely weak and spent hours only half conscious.”

Fans began to rally around Erin and the Bates family, sending their prayers for healing.

Prayers Were Answered

On September 6, Chad shared another update on Instagram. He revealed that the prayers and medicine were working. He shared a precious video of Erin being reunited with her son once again. Both Henry and Erin have been through a lot since the August 25 birth.

The video shows Henry lying next to Erin in her hospital bed. She’s kissing his head, and it’s obvious he feels safe and content near his mother.

Kelly Jo also updated fans with the news that Erin was showing improvement and was on her way to recovery.
