The two would often upload adorable photos and clips with their family. They continue many traditions with their kids, as seen on TV. Katie recently took to IG to share a clip with her siblings and their respective children visiting Gil and Kelly Jo late at night. They surprised the married couple with a sleepover. Kelly Jo was stunned when she saw her grandkids entering her house one by one. Katie captioned, 19 kids, 40 grandkids, and counting…🩵🏡 The house we grew up in just keeps getting louder more kids, more laughter, and somehow, even more love! 🫶🏻.”

Gil and Kelly Jo’s night turned unexpectedly lively. Gil excitedly tells the kids that he’ll grab food for them, adding that he has rooms ready for everyone. Meanwhile, Kelly Jo can’t stop laughing, as she sees her grandkids with their blankets and pillows. She left a comment on Katie’s post, saying, “Best surprise ever!!!!! Y’all totally surprised me!!!!😍” Many Bringing Up Bates fans’ hearts were captured by the Bates kids’ surprise.

Katie later uploaded more photos from the family sleepover at Gil and Kelly Jo’s house. The Bringing Up Bates star captioned, “Sleepover at mom and dad’s with all the kids… feels like old times, just louder and with less sleep!” Some photos feature the Bates kids playing board games, while the younger ones watch movies and play. It was a long night filled with celebrations. Travis even played guitar with Zach, and he’s still blown away by how big the Bates family is. Travis wrote, “Even though I married into the fam, it still blows my mind how big it gets when we get together 😂”
