‘General Hospital’ Willow Snaps, Evil Alter Personality Emerges

General Hospital fans have been watching Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) manipulate Willow Tait Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) for months now. With him in her head, she continues to make poor decisions. She collapsed, and something snapped when the judge ruled that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) would be granted full custody. She continues to look lost and broken as she struggles to deal with the cards that have been dealt to her. In court, something happened, and it triggered something deep within her that was bound to emerge sooner or later. Willow is heading down the wrong path, and it’s not going to be pretty.

General Hospital Fans See Willow’s Drastic Change

Something snapped inside Willow Corinthos in court, and spoilers say it’s only going to get worse. Mental illness runs in the family. Remember how insane her twin Nelle was? It was bound to happen sooner or later that Willow’s mental state would change. Nelle was affected by Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) antidepressant overdose, so why wouldn’t Willow be?

There have been some mysterious things happening on the soap this week. Many think Willow is behind them. Perhaps that is too obvious, but it does make sense. Someone is plotting to take Daisy from Sasha, or so it seems. The Willow everyone knows wouldn’t do this, but the Willow with deep, hidden mental issues would.

It’s in Willow’s DNA that she could have some troubling mental issues. DID or dissociative identity disorder may be playing a big part in Willow’s mental state. What is DID? It is formerly known as multiple personality disorder and split personality disorder, and is a mental health condition where you have two or more separate identities.

This would make sense for Willow, especially after her past and all the trauma she endured with Shiloh and the cult.

The dark Willow wants to be a mother, and if she can’t have her own children back, why not take Sasha’s and hurt not only her but also Michael? Her twin has done very similar things, so the apple may not fall too far from the family tree.

Katelyn MacMullen Confirms Things Are Not Over For Willow

Katelyn MacMullen gave a semi-spoiler herself when she spoke with Soap Opera Digest. She said, “So, I feel like anything is possible for in the realm of her mental state. I think at any given moment or on any given day, it’s kind of unpredictable. I would say… expect the unexpected.”

There is no doubt that Willow will continue to spiral. The big question is, how far will she sink?

Writers have a lot of different directions they could go to turn Willow into a psychopathic monster. She could kidnap Daisy, or she could completely lose it and end up in a psych ward. Will revenge be on her radar? As she said, anything is possible.

As someone lurks in the shadows at the Quartermaine mansion, all eyes will be on Willow and Daisy.
