‘General Hospital’: Who Will Ryan Paevey Portray Upon Return?

General Hospital fans are excited for the return of Ryan Paevey. After getting rumors started by saying he had some irons in the fire earlier this month, he finally confirmed it’s true. He is returning to the soap, and his first air date will be in September. Now that everyone knows he’s really making a comeback, they want to know who he will be portraying. The same happened when Kelly Thiebaud confirmed her return to daytime television. Will Paevey be returning as Detective Nathan West, even though he supposedly died on the show? Or, will he be at the center of a much bigger conspiracy?

General Hospital Theories On Ryan Paevey’s Return

General Hospital fans will have to wait a bit to find out who exactly Ryan Paevey will be portraying on the show. It seems unlikely that he could be Nathan West, but since Britt also escaped death, anything is possible. Plus, he is Britt’s brother. There are several possibilities that could be taking place if he’s not Nathan, or even if he is.

Many people believe that Cesar Faison is behind the research taking place in Professor Henry Dalton’s lab and in the lab Britt is running at the Five Poppies Resort. There is also speculation that it could be Peter August (Wes Ramsey) behind it all. He is also presumed dead, but again, it wouldn’t be the first time someone has miraculously escaped death.

As fans are seeing this week, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is in danger. She collapsed on Monday’s episode, presumably from being poisoned by the new Deception face cream. Nobody knows what fate she faces, but fans do know Storms is taking a leave of absence from the show and will return at the beginning of the new year. Somehow, Paevey’s return has to be tied to Maxie.

Who Else Could Paevey Be?

If Ryan Paevey is not returning as Nathan West, he could be returning as a Nathan look-alike. Theories are floating around that Peter August could be portraying himself as Nathan. He was obsessed with Maxie, who happens to be the mother of his child. She was desperately in love with Nathan.

Could Maxie be taken to the Five Poppies Resort, where she comes face to face with her past? Plastic surgery or a realistic mask could easily make Peter look like Nathan. Some have suggested that Faison could also be behind it. Could some kind of cloning process be going on that saved Britt and Nathan? Will they all be alive, and will there be one big family reunion?

So much could happen, and fans will have to wait a bit longer to see what “meaty” storyline Paevey will be a part of.
