‘General Hospital’ Natalia’s Dead, What Happened?

ADA Turner said Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) is the best chance she has to take down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). She has dirt on Sonny, and since she spilled the tea about what she’d done to the mob boss himself, he is sending her away to live a happy life on the beaches of Belize. However, fans discovered this week that Natalia won’t make it there. Eva LaRue confirmed her exit from the daytime drama, as did Frank Valentini. So, it looks like Natalia will die and never make her flight. What happened?

General Hospital Confirms Natalia’s Exit

It’s almost certain that Natalia Ramirez will not live to make amends with her son, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo). A dramatic song played in the background during Monday’s intense episode of General Hospital. As the music played, Natalia was stumbling around the hotel room, barely conscious. An empty pill bottle lies on the table.

She kept checking her phone to see if Marco had responded to her. She made her way to the couch, where she passed out. As the phone slid out of her hands onto the floor, Marco texted that he was on his way.

Since LaRue confirmed that Natalia is leaving the show and her last air date is this week, it’s pretty obvious that she dies. It’s pretty anticlimactic to have her just fall into death’s arms on the couch after mixing pills and drugs.

To make her death more dramatic, she might roll off the couch and hit her head. Previews show Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) pounding on her door, saying they need to talk to her. If he barges in and finds her bleeding on the floor, it could raise questions about how she died.

Did Natalia die from hitting her head after overdosing on pills and alcohol? Or did a struggle lead to her death, implicating Sonny and his men as prime suspects? If there is any doubt as to how she died, Marco and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) will seek revenge on Sonny.

The Timing Could Lead To An All Out War

As Natalia Ramirez potentially takes her last breath, Charlie’s Pub is going up in flames with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) inside. Previews indicate that it will be Marco who puts himself in harm’s way to rescue her.

Did he just save Sonny’s daughter instead of being there to save his own mother? This may be guilt he has for months to come. Will it change his outlook on life and in dealings with his father’s business?

There are lots of storylines here that writers could explore in the coming weeks. Right now, this first week of July is proving to be intense and filled with drama. More chaos for Sonny and his family is on the way.

Was it really Sidwell who had his goons start the fire at Charlie’s, or is there someone else lurking in the shadows?
