‘General Hospital’ Kelly Thiebaud Teases How Britt Cheated Death

General Hospital star Kelly Thiebaud recently spoke out in an interview about her return to Port Charles as Britt Westbourne. Fans have been wondering how writers will explain her brush with death. She supposedly died a few years ago after being in contact with a poisoned hook. It turns out that Britt really didn’t face an untimely death in her mother’s arms.

Instead, somehow, she cheated death and is now living in Dalmatia. Sadly, it seems she doesn’t have much freedom but has said her “boss” wants her to be happy. Other than that, nobody knows who her mystery boss is and how she managed to escape dying at the hands of Heather Weber’s poisoned hook. What did Thiebaud say about it all?

General Hospital’s Kelly Thiebaud Teases Incredible Story

Kelly Thiebaud recently appeared on Stone Cold and The Jackal, hosted by co-stars Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli). During her time on their show, she discussed how it’s even possible that Britt Westbourne is still alive.

She talked about the idea she pitched to executive producer Frank Valentini when he revealed he was bringing her back from the dead. Kelly said she was thinking of a Romeo/Juliet kind of moment. She suggested the poison only lasts 24 hours, so she was miraculously resurrected, leading Obrecht to whisk her away somewhere, because whether the poison killed her or not, she still has Huntington’s.

Thiebaud said, “I was really blown away what they came up with, what they gave me as far as how she survived.” She went on to talk more about Britt’s survival after sharing her idea. She said, “It’s not at all that!. It’s so much bigger and more creative and there are so many other people involved in it. I can’t believe what they’ve done. It’s exciting!”

She also teased that her return to Port Charles will have a confrontation with Dante and Lulu over Rocco. It seems “Ben” will get his wish of meeting Britt and getting the chance to know her.

There is fan speculation that Rocco may end up being Britt’s biological child somehow, leaving Lulu out in the cold.

Who’s Behind Britt’s Survival?

Along with how Britt even managed to survive, fans are eager to know who the mastermind behind it all is. She keeps referring to “him” and noted that he wants her to be happy.

There are many theories swirling around online. One of the theories is that her villainous father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Rumor has it he might not really be dead. If it’s not him, there are plenty of other options.

Three other possibilities are Peter August (last played by Wes Ramsey), Jerry Jacks (last played by Sebastian Roche), or Victor Cassadine (last played by Charles Shaughnessy).

Some have also gone so far as to say they really wish it were Valentin Cassadine, and he somehow manages to escape his life in prison.

Who do you think will be revealed as the other partner working with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard)? No doubt there will be some twists, turns, and big shockers along the way.
