‘General Hospital’ Kelly Thiebaud & Steve Burton Reveal Britt & Jason Love Story Coming?

General Hospital actress Kelly Thiebaud recently returned to the hit daytime drama as Britt Westbourne. Since her character supposedly died a few years ago, fans are eager to know the story behind her survival. Fans also want to know if they will get to see a continued romance between Britt and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). In a new interview on Stone Cold and The Jackal, Kelly hints at whether there will be a rekindled romance between Britt and Jason. Kelly Thiebaud gave a big clue to fans about whether or not they will see a rekindled romance between Jason and Britt. During a recent interview, she and Steve Burton discussed her return to the soap and the chemistry that everyone saw between Jason and Britt.

He also hinted that fans could be getting what they want. While they spoke, Kelly talked about how coming back to the show is even better this time around. She noted how excited fans are about Britt returning, and she then dropped a big clue as to what will come down the road.

Kelly said it’s incredible to get this second chance to really go for it. She said fans are excited to get what they never got, and we’re going to be able to give it to them.

It sounds like Jason and Britt will be revisiting their romance.

What Did Steve Say?

Steve Burton also weighed in on how Britt and Jason’s romance was cut short. They started talking about bringing Britt back when producers would discuss putting Jason with someone on the show. There was nobody that they really saw him with, so one of the producers said to just get Britt back.

Burton also said that Jason and Britt had great momentum together. He really feels like there is a story that needs to be told.

Steve said, “I was a big cheerleader of getting Kelly to come back to this continent and come back to General Hospital because I just feel like there’s a story that needs to be told. I’m excited she’s back. She’s a beast. Britt’s a beast too, in a different way. It’s going to be a fun story.”

As for how Britt managed to escape death, Kelly says it’s very creative. It has nothing to do with her mother, Liesel Obrecht, either.

Thiebaud said, “I was really blown away what they came up with, what they gave me as far as how she survived.” She continued discussing Britt’s shocking survival, saying, “It’s so much bigger and more creative and there are so many other people involved in it. I can’t believe what they’ve done. It’s exciting.”

Get ready because it looks like Jason and Britt will be heating up the screen together sometime soon.
