General Hospital fans are eager to know who really shot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). There are a lot of suspects, but a few seem to be at the center of the investigation. Of course, it appears right now that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is taking the fall for the attempted murder. She was arrested during a supervised visit with Wiley and Amelia. Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) seems to know a lot more than he’s letting on when it comes to that night. In fact, he appears to be going to a lot of trouble trying to pin the shooting on someone who is actually innocent. Does Michael really know who shot Drew, and who is it he’s trying so hard to protect?

General Hospital Fans Wonder If Michael Knows The Truth

The night Drew Cain was shot, Michael Corinthos was parked down the street. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) found Drew, but then admits she saw Michael there too, and that he had better have a strong alibi. Michael says he was on his way to talk to Drew when the shooting occurred. If he was nearby, did he see the shooter flee the scene?

Some speculate he could have really shot his uncle himself. However, if it had been him, he would have had a much stronger thought-out alibi than the flimsy one he had with Jacinda, the escort.

The weapon used to shoot Drew belonged to Edward Quartermaine, so the theory is that whoever shot Drew had access to the mansion and knew where the gun collection was kept. Michael has acted a bit strangely and almost made himself appear guilty at times. He even went to see Willow at Elizabeth’s. Shortly after this, the gun was found in Willow’s room, which led to her arrest. Did he plant it?

If he had seen Willow leave the scene of the crime, there is no reason to protect her other than that she is Wiley and Amelia’s mother. However, if she did really do this, he would also know that she couldn’t be near the kids ever again. Would he really go so far and risk his own freedom to protect Willow from a life in prison? Probably not, so who is Michael really protecting?

Who Is The Real Shooter?

Of course, nobody knows for sure yet who really shot Drew, but chances are answers are coming during November sweeps. Michael appears to have set up Willow to take the fall for shooting Drew. Did she really do it, or is Michael protecting someone much more important to him?

Perhaps sometimes the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. Danny Morgan has been hugely upset over the restraining order Drew had served to all of them to stay away from Scout. Usually, it seems Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is blamed for crimes in Port Charles, but since he was out of the country, he’s innocent this time around. However, his son might not be.

Did Michael see Danny leaving the scene of the crime? Danny had motive and access to the gun collection. He also probably isn’t a good enough shot to actually kill Drew. So it makes perfect sense that he might have had enough of Drew and him keeping him away from his little sister.

Another clue could be that in Drew’s agreement to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to drop the restraining orders included everyone except Danny. Drew refuses to let him anywhere near his daughter. Did he see Danny in the reflection of the picture on the mantel that night?

Admitting he saw Danny would not get Willow her kids back. The only chance they have of that happening is if Michael takes the fall for the attempted murder.

Right now, this is all speculation, but soon the truth will be revealed. Who do you think shot Drew?
