Erin Bates Transferred To New Hospital To Fight Illness

Bringing Up Bates star Erin Bates gave birth to her seventh child on August 25. Following a long, hard labor, Erin found herself in ICU fighting a severe UTI and kidney infection. She developed septic shock and even suffered a severe seizure. It seemed things were improving when Chad Paine shared a video of Erin snuggling newborn Henry. He noted that she was on the road to recovery and everyone’s prayers have been heard. Now, on Tuesday, Chad shared a new update indicating that Erin’s battle is not over. He revealed that she was transferred to a new hospital on Monday. What is happening to her?

Erin Bates Moved To New Hospital

Bringing Up Bates star Erin Bates continues to fight to get better. Chad shared on Tuesday that Erin was transferred to a new hospital to receive more treatment and get her feeling better. Chad shared a video of himself and Erin. She was crying in the video and holding his hand. He praised his wife for praising God even though she is in so much pain. He also shared how wonderful the nursing staff has been to them both.

Chad said,

“Recovery is not fast or easy, but we are deeply thankful for every small step forward. 💕 It has completely broken my heart to watch my Erin walk through such pain, yet to see her lifting her voice in praise to the Lord in the midst of it has been nothing short of inspiring. Her kindness and gratefulness she demonstrates to those taking care of her is nothing short of Christ in her. She has been a light wherever she goes.”

He went on to say that they miss their children terribly. Chad ended his post by thanking everyone again for their support and prayers. He said love is carrying them through.

It’s not been shared if Henry is still in the NICU at the first hospital and is now further away from his mother.

Friends And Fans Show Support

Friends and fans of the couple continue to show their support. Jill Duggar Dillard commented and said how hard and scary it must be. Tons of others sent more prayers for a quick recovery to Erin.

Chad did not share how long they think Erin will be hospitalized as she continues to fight this infection. Kelly Jo Bates has not commented since this weekend when Erin was reunited with Henry.
