Erin Bates Released From Hospital After 3 Weeks, Still No Answers

Bringing Up Bates star Erin Bates was finally released from the hospital after giving birth on August 25. She spent a lot of time in ICU as doctors searched for answers as to what was causing her numerous complications. Now, she is going home to be with her babies, but still has no answers. She shared the good news on social media. What did she say to fans?

Bringing Up Bates star Erin Bates finally gets to see her precious babies. She went to Instagram on Saturday to share that after three weeks, she gets to go home. What’s even better, Henry Blythe was released from NICU and is going home with her and her husband, Chad Paine.

Chad had been keeping fans up to date on Erin’s condition while she lay fighting in a hospital bed. She first endured a severe UTI and kidney infection, which led to septic shock. While in ICU she suffered a severe and lengthy seizure. Things did not seem good as Chad asked fans for prayers and said he couldn’t lose his best friend.

She improved a little, and they brought baby Henry to see her. It was precious, but sadly, Erin still needed more care.

Chad shared a few days later that she was being transferred to another hospital to get more specialized care. Erin continued to improve, only to relapse and face another complication. Her mother, Kelly Jo Bates, told fans it was hard to give updates on Erin because things kept changing so quickly. Her condition was puzzling doctors.

Erin Gets To See Her Babies

Now, three weeks later, Erin was released from the hospital. It is the first time she has addressed fans since being placed in the hospital. She shared a photo of her and Henry in the car, a photo of her holding Henry with Chad pushing her in a wheelchair outside their home. Plus, she shared a photo of Chad and Kelly Jo holding Henry outside the NICU for a photo, indicating he was graduating from being there and going home.

She said, “After almost three weeks in the hospital, I have never been so thankful to finally head home to our babies. We don’t have all the answers yet, and I still don’t have function in my right leg, but we are choosing to count every blessing—especially the gift of being together again.
