Mama June Rushes To Denver, Alana In Car Accident, Is She Okay?

Mama June Shannon is good about keeping fans in the loop about all the happenings in their life. In her latest social media post, she reveals that she is rushing to Denver to help her daughter, Alana Thompson, better known as Honey Boo Boo. Her daughter has been attending school there and is now facing a crisis of her own. Mama June shared that Alana was involved in a car wreck. What happened and is she okay?

Mama June Shannon Heads To Colorado After Alana T-Boned

Mama June went to social media to record a video in the airport as she’s getting ready to fly to Denver, Colorado, to help her daughter. She revealed that on Friday, they received a call around 3 pm that Alana was in a car accident. According to June, she was attempting to back out of her driveway at home when a speeding car hit her. Not only did they hit her, but they t-boned her on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

It’s a phone call no mother ever wants to receive. Mama June captioned her video saying,

“Today today is definitely been a crazy day since 3 o’clock. This is what I hate that. Alana Thompson is 23 hours away, but she is following her dreams when you get that phone call and your stomach drops and all you can hear is someone hollering trust me I’ll do a story time about it tomorrow but she is at home. She is resting. It could’ve been a lot worse than it was. She is banged up a little bit but other than that she is OK first car wreck.”

She went on to say that the 23-year-old boy driving the vehicle that hit her admits he was driving 40mph through the neighborhood. Mama June also says that lots of people tend to drive too fast down Alana’s street.

Alana was taken to the hospital with back pain and headache issues, but appears to be okay overall. She is at home resting.

Has There Been A New Update?

So far, as of this writing, Mama June has not shared a new update with fans after she arrived in Denver. She made her video at the airport last night around 10 pm as they prepared to catch their flight to Colorado. She said she will do a storytime on Saturday to update fans more.

Mama June admits it’s been hard to wrap her head around since getting that dreaded call. She reiterated that Alana is okay, but to please keep them all in prayers as they sort through the situation.
