General Hospital fans are over Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and his villainous ways. Most hoped whoever shot him twice in the back would have succeeded at ending his reign of terror in Port Charles. At the very least, some wanted him to see the error of his ways and begin a path to redemption. Sadly, that’s not about to happen. Mathison himself spilled some details about what’s next for the congressman. It sounds like his evil ways will not only continue but will be worse than ever before.

General Hospital Spoilers Reveal Drew’s Terror Just Beginning

Many fans hoped being shot would humble Drew a little bit and he’d back off from his evil ways. If anything, he’s more set on revenge and getting what he wants. Redemption is not on his bingo card for now. He’s proven that he can be the scum of the earth, and it’s about to get worse.

Cameron Mathison spoke with Soaps.com and spilled what’s next for Drew. Everyone saw Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) tell Drew that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) passed away. Drew will spiral from this news, and his grief will fuel his hatred toward his twin brother, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Writers are nowhere near done letting Drew Cain wreak havoc on everyone around him who stands in the way of what he wants. In fact, spoilers say that Drew is about to do something so bad that even Mathison was a little taken aback by it. He said, “It’s so horrible. It’s just awful!”

Previously, Mathison said that he fully embraces his role as the evil Drew Cain. He isn’t like this in his daily life, so to play a bad guy is somewhat of a stress relief.

Could the horrid congressman be plotting to shake things up at the Quartermaine mansion since Monica isn’t there to save everyone? Erika Slezak will debut this week and is rumored to be Monica’s long-lost sister nobody knew existed. Is she really, or is she someone Drew and Martin set up to rock the Quartermaine world?

His Hatred For Jason

Cameron Mathison also talked about Drew’s relationship with Jason. He notes that Monica’s death is very traumatic for Drew. He thinks of her as his mother, and he was always jealous of Jason.

Drew has even been nasty to Danny, who is just a teenager. His motive is to inflict pain on his brother. Mathison said, “That’s how he rationalizes his actions. Drew has so much animosity and hatred toward Jason, who is out there literally killing people and is still thought of as a hero. Jason always had the Quartermaines thinking he’s the golden child. Meanwhile, he’s a hitman! He kills people for a living!”

Since he never got to fix his relationship with Monica before he died, it will fuel his anger even more.

Watch out, Port Charles. Drew Cain’s next move is coming, and it’s definitely not pretty. Who knows, once he discovers Portia Robinson’s evidence is missing, he might summon Brad to return with a backup copy that nobody else knew existed. Yes, it’s possible there is another copy of the blood test results, and he lied about his copy being the only one.

What do you think he’s up to next?
