‘General Hospital’ Ryan Paevey Back As Peter August?

General Hospital fans are still speculating over which character Ryan Paevey will be returning as. He and Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) made a video shared on social media about Ryan’s debut date. It was revealed in the video that Ryan’s first airdate will be this Friday, September 19. She asked him who he was returning as, to which he told her it’s a secret and he can’t tell her. Now, fans are excited for Friday’s episode and are back to the drawing board, taking guesses as to how the show is bringing him back. One huge theory floating around is that Ryan is returning as villain Peter August. Here’s what we know.

General Hospital Bringing Ryan Back As Peter August?

General Hospital fans are talking about Ryan Paevey’s epic comeback after being killed off the show seven years ago. Everyone believed he was coming back as Nathan West after comments made by Soap Opera Digest. However, now some are not quite sure. Paevey himself said he will not return to the soap for a “vanilla” storyline. It has to be something juicy that lures him back to Port Charles. He also said if they are going to do it, they need to go all in. So, what’s the plan?

Paevey will make his Port Charles debut on Friday. It is believed his arrival will have something to Lulu Spencer helping an accident victim. It’s unclear what kind of accident will occur and exactly what Lulu’s role in it will be. However, the talk of Ryan’s highly anticipated comeback has everyone talking.

Some think it’s too bizarre to have Ryan return as Nathan since he was shot, killed, and buried. However, weirder things have happened on the show. There are a lot of fans who believe that he will look and act like Nathan but really be villain Peter August. Plastic surgery or a carefully constructed mask could help him pull off the disguise, and this tactic has been done in soaps before. So, it’s really not that far-fetched.

If he is Peter, he will be acting like Nathan while scheming to get what he wants. Is he the mastermind behind lab experiments with Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota)? Is he making a comeback to Port Charles, chasing after Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud)?

Could He Really Be Nathan?

If Ryan Paevey returns as Nathan, how did he survive? Everyone knows that Cesar Faison was the master at faking deaths, so it’s possible he saved his son and perhaps even brainwashed him for evil deeds. He might return as an evil Nathan and not the lovable detective everyone loved before.
