1000-Lb Sisters Mourn Death Of Family Member

1000-Lb Sisters stars are mourning the loss of a dear family member. Katie Slaton had been battling stage 4 cancer for months now. Katie was reportedly battling Gastric Adenocarcinoma, which is a rare and fast-spreading stomach cancer. They were trying to raise money to help with her medical expenses while undergoing intense treatment.

Amanda Halterman was a big advocate for Katie and was trying to get fans to help in any way they could. In fact, she posted a photo of Katie earlier today and asked for prayers, and shared that she is proud to stand with her. She said, “Please whisper a prayer for our family as we continue to support Katie Slaton I am so thankful to be allowed to stand by your side.” The photo shows Katie staring happily at the baby.

Earlier on Monday, Tammy Slaton went to her Facebook page to ask for prayers for herself and her family, saying that they had just lost their cousin Katie. So far, no other details have been revealed about her passing.

Fans Have Shown Support

1000-Lb Sisters stars have shown support for Tammy Slaton and the rest of the Slaton family. Many have already been pouring in with condolences for the family. There are others who have not heard the sad news yet and have offered prayers for them on this journey. Some have even made their way over to the GoFundMe to donate money to help the family during this difficult time.

The rest of the family has not commented yet on the loss of Katie. So far, the GoFundMe has only raised a little more than $2,000. No doubt, when more fans learn of her passing, they will contribute to the funeral expenses. Many who already donated are cancer survivors themselves and understand the hardships that come with fighting this awful disease.
