‘Y&R’ Jordi Vilasuso & Wife Seek Prayers For Unborn Baby

Young and the Restless alum Jordi Vilasuso and his wife Kaitlin are seeking prayers for their unborn baby. The two separately went to Instagram to ask fans to keep them in their prayers during a difficult situation. Is everything okay with their baby? Keep reading to find out more.

It’s been a while since Jordi Vilasuso has been on the Young and the Restless. However, in the short time he played Rey Rosales from 2018-2022, he became well-loved and fans still love to follow his real life on social media. In fact, he even has a podcast he hosts now called Making it Work. 

Now, he and Kaitlin are reaching out to ask fans for prayers to save their unborn baby. Kaitlin began the plea on her own Instagram and said, “We come to you with big, exciting news and perhaps an even bigger prayer request. We are beyond excited to share that we are expecting a precious addition to our family in January! After two losses, this precious girl (💕) is an answer to our prayers and has already filled our hearts with so much hope and joy. But, while she is growing perfectly, we learned last week that my body is struggling to hold her and she’s at risk of coming far too early.”

She went on to explain that the doctors will perform a procedure called a cerclage. Kaitlin shared there are risks involved. She said, “There are risks to the procedure, but we are standing in faith that God did not bring us this far -with Riley and Everly feeling her move in my belly night after night- or bring her this far (20 weeks!) for her to not breathe the breath of life and have a long, beautiful one at that.”

Riley and Everly are Jordi and Kailtin’s two other daughters. The request comes with a gorgeous photo of the four of them holding an ultrasound photo.

There are many risks involved

Kaitlin continued on saying, “I’m scheduled for surgery Wednesday evening and we are praying she stays snug in my belly until then, that our doctors are not met with anything unexpected, and that their God-given skill leads to a successful surgery- specifically that my water does not break during the procedure and that the procedure itself doesn’t put me into labor. We are praying for many many more boring weeks of me mostly laying in bed while this baby girl grows stronger and more ready for this world.”

She concluded her post by saying she trusts God and that she prays there are plans for their daughter on this side of heaven.

Jordi also echoed Kaitlin’s plea

Jordi also went to his own Instagram where he began by saying that he knows it was not easy for Kaitlin to lay out these terrifying details about her pregnancy.

He noted that she inspired him to also reach out and ask for prayers for their daughter as she continues to grow in the womb. After sharing his sentiments he shared what Kaitlin initially posted.

Fans immediately went to the comments on both of their pages and offered prayers and stories of hope. Many Young and the Restless fans are coming together to pray for Jordi and Kaitlin’s unborn baby.

Will he return to the soap?

Earlier this year, there were rumors and speculation that Jordi could be making a comeback to Young and the Restless. Rumors were flying that he could return not as Rey Rosales but rather as his twin brother. In the soap, Rey was married to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).

So far there has been nothing come of this. Do you think this is something that could happen in the future?
