It was hard enough for colleagues and fans to grasp that Billy Miller had passed away at such a young age. After the news, Young and the Restless halted production of the show. Billy had played Billy Abbott on the soap for years. Monsters and Critics shared the news and noted that the producers opted to halt production in order for everyone to come together as a huge cast to honor Billy. The cast gathered to share memories, laugh and cry over the loss of their friend and former colleague.

Many including Elizabeth Hendrickson thanked the show and CBS for allowing them time to come together and grieve. She had shared an Instagram Story with a photo of the memorial and said, “Thank you @youngandrestles @cbs for making space for us all to grieve tougher this morning. It was really helpful to be with friends who knew Billy closely. I think we all needed that.”

After celebrating the beloved actor’s life for a short time on set, production resumed but sharing memories and tributes continue.
