‘Young & The Restless’ Grooming Victor Newman’s Replacement?

Young and the Restless fans are trying their hardest to figure out how businessman Aristotle Dumas fits into the big Genoa City picture. This mystery man seems to already have a few enemies, one of which is Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). As Victor continues to get older, of course, he won’t live forever so will become the next big powerhouse? It looks as though writers could be preparing for the inevitable future and grooming Victor’s replacement.

Young and the Restless fans are convinced that writers are up to something big. Everyone is talking about billionaire Aristotle Dumas. However, nobody knows who he is. He is lurking in the shadows waiting until the perfect moment to make his debut. What exactly is he up to?

Dumas has already had off-screen moments with Victor and both of these men seem to nearly always get what they want. When the long-running soap finally decides to end Victor, who will step up as the next mastermind and most powerful character? Many believe it will be Dumas.

Many feel like writers are grooming Dumas to take over after Victor is long gone. But, who is this mystery man?

Who Is Aristotle Dumas?

Young and the Restless writers have been teasing fans with potential options for who is behind the mask of Aristotle Dumas. The most noticeable option is for Dumas to really be Tucker making a comeback. If it were true, it’s unknown if Trevor St. John would be resuming the role.

It would make sense for Dumas to be Tucker. However, most agree it’s way too obvious and therefore not likely.

If it is not Tucker, who could it be then? There have been a few hints dropped that indicate perhaps the mysterious Dumas could be Cane Ashby who was previously played by Daniel Goddard. Jack Abbott dropped a clue that this mystery man first appeared on the business scene five or six years ago. This just so happens to be around the time Cane was last spotted in Genoa City. This was in 2019, yes, roughly six years ago.

It would make perfect sense for Cane to be hiding behind the scenes waiting to swoop in and take over Chancellor. He’s run it before so it’s not out of the question he wants to take over. Cane has been known to be a con man in the past and Dumas is already up to no good. He’s made offers to Billy Abbott to which Jack warned his brother to politely decline. Will he?

The buildup to finding out who Dumas is continues to build and be at the forefront of everyone’s minds. No doubt when he does finally make his debut, he’s coming to shake things up for everyone in Genoa City.
