Will Lexi Ainsworth Be Back As Kristina Amid Mansi’s Exit?

General Hospital fans were faced with a huge shocker on Sunday when Kate Mansi revealed she’s leaving the daytime drama. She decided on her own not to renew her contract. She has been portraying Kristina Corinthos-Davis since 2023, when Lexi Ainsworth left the role for the second time. Right now, nobody knows exactly when Mansi’s final airdate is, but it’s been revealed that it’s sometime in June. She finished her scenes in April. This leaves everyone wondering what will happen to Kristina? Will she just leave Port Charles, leaving the door open for Mansi to return down the road? Or, will she be replaced by another actress, particularly Lexi Ainsworth?

General Hospital Bringing Back Lexi Ainsworth?

While it’s been rumored several times that Kate Mansi could be leaving General Hospital since she got married last year, there has never been any indication that it was true. Now, it’s been confirmed by Mansi herself that she’s not renewing her contract. Actually, at the moment, there is not even a huge storyline going on with Kristina, so it will be interesting to see how the show reveals Mansi’s shocking exit. 

Of course, this leaves everyone wondering if the part will be recast as it has been in the past. Lexi Ainsworth first debuted as Kristina Corinthos-Davis in 2009. She continued to play the role until 2012, when Lindsey Morgan took over. Ainsworth returned in 2015 and continued to play the role until 2023, when Mansi took over. Now, fans are wondering if Ainsworth could return once again.

General Hospital fans are talking on social media about Kate Mansi’s exit and what it means for the future of Kristina. It seems fans are kind of divided about what should happen to Kristina. Many fans said they are fine with not having Kristina around for a while and pointed out that she really has no big storylines happening at the moment. Others argued they would love to see the role recast by someone completely new.
