‘Today’ Savannah Guthrie Tearfully Begs Mother’s Abductor

Today show host Savannah Guthrie and her two siblings, Annie and Cameron, went to social media on Wednesday evening to address loyal followers and the abductor who has taken their mother, Nancy Guthrie. Savannah tearfully addressed the public about the disappearance of Nancy. The Pima County Sheriff and the FBI are working tirelessly to try to locate Nancy and determine who took her from her home sometime after 9:30 PM Saturday evening. The family remains hopeful and is asking the public to help bring their beloved mother home.

Today Host Savannah Guthrie Addresses Kidnapper

Today show host Savannah Guthrie, along with her brother and sister, addressed the public on Instagram on Wednesday evening. Guthrie tearfully addressed her mother’s abductor. She said, “We too have heard the reports about a ransom letter in the media. As a family, we are doing everything that we can. We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us.”

Along with her plea to the kidnapper, Savannah thanked the public for their continuous prayers. She noted that they feel them and they believe Nancy does too. Guthrie then went on to describe her mother. She said, “Our mom is a kind, faithful, loyal, fiercely loving woman of goodness and light. She is funny, spunky, and clever. She has grandchildren that adore her and crowd around her and cover her in kisses. She loves fun and adventure. She is a devoted friend. She is full of kindness and knowledge.”

Savannah urged the abductor to talk to Nancy and find out for themselves that she is a great woman.

To wrap up the video, Guthrie addressed their mother. She called her “mommy” and said that her three children will not rest until she is found and back in their arms again. She also reassured her mother about how strong she is and to always know that God is walking beside her through this valley.

Annie and Camron also addressed their mother, letting her know that they love her and that she is strong.

FBI Offering $50k Reward

During a news conference held on Thursday, Heith Janke with the FBI revealed they are offering a $50k  reward for the return of Nancy Guthrie and/or any information leading to the arrest of the individual responsible for her abduction.

The Pima County Sheriff, Chris Nanos, also clarified some of the facts of the case. He noted there is a lot of misinformation circulating on the internet. Nanos said they do not have a prime suspect and are not ruling out anyone at this point. He urged the media to be careful what they report because false information could really hurt someone.

The Sheriff also said he is not confirming there was forced entry into the home and that cameras on the property were smashed. He went on to say that he does not know where the media got this information. However, he did note that the Ring doorbell camera was taken, and they do not have it in their possession. Along with that confirmation, he also confirmed there was blood on the front porch area, and it belonged to Nancy Guthrie.

The investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff also confirms they have no real signs of life, but are not giving up hope that Nancy will be brought home.
