Kody Brown Speaks Of Garrison Six Months After Death

Sister Wives star Kody Brown spoke with People ahead of Season 19 premiering on TLC in a week. He spoke for the first time about losing his son Garrison suddenly and tragically to suicide. Fans have wondered how he felt about it all for six months now. He finally gave everyone some answers.

Kody overall says he is still in shock. He said, “The hard part is giving away that future that I saw for him, the excitement. It’s strange having your child pass. The wave of grief is different that any wave of grief I have ever had with a best friend passing, with a relative passing. It’s different. And it is different in the idea that it’s irreconcilable — the future that we missed with him.”

Kody admits the relationship he had with Garrison could have been better. They could have texted more, talked more and gone to dinner. He wishes they could do that and just have a beer.

He said it felt like they had forever. Garrison had his life and Kody had his as well so when they could meet up they would. He said, “I can’t get back to where I was. I can’t reconcile that he’s not here.”

Does He Have Any Regrets?

Kody Brown shared that there is one regret when it comes to his son Garrison. He wishes he would have taken advantage of the time they had.

If he could go back he would do things more often together. Koday said, “The only regret is that you didn’t do something. You didn’t take more time.”

The entire Sister Wives family was in shock when Garrison Brown was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Nobody knew he was suffering so badly.
