‘RHOBH’ Lisa Rinna Reveals She Needed Security Amid Feud With Co-Star

Lisa Rinna joined Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise in 2014. She left the reality show in 2023 after eight seasons after falling out with several of her co-stars. During her time on the reality show, she tangled with Lisa Vanderpump, Denise Richards, Kim Richards, and many more. But none of those feuds reached the extreme level to require security. 

Before she was a Housewives star, Lisa Rinna had a busy acting career. Her breakout role was Billie Reed on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. She joined the show in 1992. Her character was paired with Bo Brady. Robert Kelker-Kelly took over the role in 1992 after Peter Reckell left the show.

In her memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, Lisa Rinna called Robert Kelker-Kelly the “biggest bully” in Hollywood. “I’d go so far as to say verbally abusive. He was passive aggressive, manipulative and played weird mind games,” she said about his behavior. The soap star added, “I had to work with him every day, often half-naked to do love scenes. If I didn’t do what he wanted, he’d give me the silent treatment.”

She claimed that security had to intervene in the feud. Lisa Rinna claimed she and her co-star, Kristen Alfonso, were given “full-time security detail” after Robert Kelker-Kelly was fired in 1995. “We had rent-a-cops parked outside our houses and trailers for three weeks and were driven to and from work,” she wrote. 

Lisa Rinna left the show that same year, returning several times since then. She went on to star on Melrose Place before joining reality TV.

Other Book Bombshells

During her time on RHOBH, Lisa Rinna encouraged her co-stars to “own it,” meaning their behavior. She revealed more bombshells in her memoir. She shut down speculation that her husband, actor Harry Hamlin, is gay. The rumor has been circulating for years.

Elsewhere in her book, she called out Bravo host Andy Cohen for leaking private text messages in his own memoir that came out in 2023.  But her most shocking claim was about her recent stint on The Traitors.
