Netflix Thriller Deemed Better Than ‘The Night Agent’

The Night Agent was released quietly but quickly became a success. This led to another thriller being quite well-liked.

Movies and television shows are wonderful pastimes and a means to connect with different worlds that fans may not otherwise encounter. A good drama can bring viewers to tears, a good comedy can cause tears of laughter, and a good horror film can bring everyone to tears of dread.

Typically, those who like suspense also enjoy horror. Without a lot of action or horrifyingly violent creatures, this style of presentation makes the audience uncomfortable at times. They are designed for folks who like feeling out of breath, with some of them being exclusive to those with strong stomachs.

The Night Agent

Recently, the Netflix thriller series The Night Agent enjoyed a lot of popularity. Without much expectation, the production entered the streaming library and quickly became a tremendous hit. The Shawn Ryan-created sitcom reached outrageous figures in its first week on the streaming service. It debuted first in the top 10 globally. The show finished behind Wandinha and Dahmer on the list of the top Netflix launches as a result.

The show has seen 170 million hours of viewership. This thriller is now ranked in the top 10 in more than 90 countries, even after just four weeks.

Naturally, it was assumed that Netflix would order Season 2 of the show after such a huge success. Thankfully, it will happen, although production will have to wait a bit.

Another thriller worth watching

For those who have already seen all 10 episodes of The Night Agent, there is another fantastic suspense series to watch on the platform called Bodyguard. The BBC created this production, and Netflix provided the distribution.

Given that the series is from 2018, many people may be familiar with it. If not, this thriller is worth your time. There are a total of six nonstop episodes. The play’s storyline is a very tense and intense political thriller.

The mission of David Budd, a Scottish veteran of the Afghanistan War who is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, to serve as Julia Montague’s bodyguard is first seen by the audience. Julia Montague is a member of the British government and ultimately became a terrorist target.

Despite the fact that Bodyguard premiered in 2018, new people naturally began to watch it after The Night Agent achieved such great popularity on the site. As a result of the ongoing suspense, the series was taken by surprise and quickly caught on.

The notion of Season 2, which looked very feasible five years ago, is not a reality for Netflix even if the old series is enjoying incredible popularity.

Horror productions

As previously said, suspense fans often like horror, and vice versa. Therefore, there are certain horror films that merit seeing or reviewing outside the category of these two series. These were the top horror movies of 2016, according to Variety magazine.

3–Nope

Jordan Peele’s latest horror movie came in third. It demonstrates how strange and otherworldly occurrences start to occur in a community in the interior of California. Steven Yeun plays a part in a television series that is based on the old west and has two brothers who run a horse ranch and live next door to an amusement park. The two then experience strange occurrences including UFOs.

This thriller became very popular as well.
