‘My 600-Lb Life’ Update On Season 10 Star Ontreon Shannon

My 600-Lb Life fans are wondering what happened to Season 10 star Ontreon Shannon. When he appeared on the TLC show, he weighed in at a massive 702 pounds. He was already suffering from diabetes and congestive heart failure when he decided to seek Dr. Now’s help in Houston, Texas. His episode aired in 2022, and since then, fans have wondered what has become of him. Has he ever been able to reach any of his weight loss goals? All About My 600-Lb Life Star Ontreon Shannon?

When Ontreon Shannon appeared on TLC’s My 600-Lb Life with Dr. Now, he was desperate to change his lifestyle. Many doctors had turned him away and said he’d be lucky to be alive at the age of 40 with the health conditions and morbid obesity he is facing. Sadly, he was the least successful patient of Dr. Now’s during this season of the show. Rather than losing a ton of weight, he left the show two pounds heavier.

He didn’t qualify for the surgery, and his future seemed rather grim if he didn’t change his lifestyle immediately. Dr. Now said if he follows the 1200-calorie diet that Ontreon should be losing nearly 80 pounds a month. Ontreon argued he’s trying, and Dr. Now didn’t agree with him.

After 19 months, Ontreon was down to 639 pounds. He agreed to therapy, which seemed to help him realize a lot of his struggles with food resulted from childhood trauma. Dr. Now agreed to do the weight loss surgery once Ontreon appeared again at 639, but only if he could make it below 600 pounds. He didn’t. He attributed his failed goal to his and his wife’s moving into a bigger apartment.

Where Is Ontreon Today?

My 600-Lb Life star Ontreon Shannon is still going strong today. He has obviously been able to use the things he learned through therapy to better himself. He has not disclosed how much weight he has lost, but it does appear it’s a very significant amount. He has photos on social media of himself exercising, and he even has a trainer.

It seems he has a very positive attitude and is still focusing on changing his lifestyle and getting into a healthier version of himself.

Ontreon is still married to Musa, and the two reside in Texas. She has stood by his side through it all, and it was shared that they celebrated their six-year anniversary in July.

Perhaps soon, Ontreon will provide fans with a new update. His latest post on Facebook was on October 12, but it really provided no new updates.
