My 600-Lb Life star Abi Ruiz continues to make progress after parting ways with Dr. Now. He’s one of Dr. Now’s heaviest patients on Season 12, weighing at 728 pounds. He had to rely on people around him for his daily needs. As a result, he couldn’t reach his goals in life. However, Abi doesn’t want to stay miserable. Abi took to social media in September to share one of his most recent photos amid his weight loss journey. The My 600-Lb Life star can be seen sitting in a motorized wheelchair. But what’s noticeable is how much he has slimmed down since his last appearance on the show. He captioned, “Hey there! Long time no see, but here we are, still kicking, and somehow still cute!”

Abi didn’t exactly share how much he weighs today. However, he was able to drop 325 pounds during his time with Dr. Now, bringing his weight down to 403 pounds. He suffered from lymphedema, and it may be the reason why he’s still struggling to walk. Abi may now be below 300 pounds. He has been more outgoing than before. Earlier this year, he went out to see a comedy show. He has also uploaded videos of himself working out at the gym, showing that he’s still committed to reaching his physical goals.

Abi Becomes An Inspiration

Abi also took to FB last month to share how his life has been going. From being miserable, the My 600-Lb Life star revealed that he’s now enjoying his life with his wife and fur babies. He wrote, “It’s a good Sunday to just chill with my amazing wife and our furry crew 🐶🐾 No drama, no rush — just food, laughter, and a little peace.” Many fans were amazed by Abi’s positivity after going through so much in his life. TLC has yet to share if he’s returning for a special episode. But it’s clear that Dr. Now has changed his life, and it may only be a matter of time before he reaches his goals.
