‘MAFS’ Season 14: Is Anyone Still Married?
Five MAFS marriages were witnessed by family and friends in Boston, Massachusetts before the newlyweds traveled to Puerto Rico for their honeymoon. Before Decision Day, each couple had eight weeks to get to know one another, but eight weeks proved to be far too much for one of the couples. Are any of the couples from Season 14 still together?
Chris Collette and Alyssa Ellman
In Touch shared all the details about these Season 14 couples. Chris Collette and Alyssa Ellman’s marriage lasted just 12 days before they decided to call it quits, making it one of the shortest-lasting unions in MAFS history.
Chris said to Married at First Sight expert Reverend Cal Roberson at the time that Alyssa had no interest in being married to him. She claims that they don’t get along. She has referred to being robbed of the experience and being able to live near her friends. Chris ended up saying he was creating his own decision day and wanted a divorce.
Chris is moving on and admitted that he’s been speaking with another Married at First Sight alum during the Where Are They Now special after the couple’s divorce.
Olivia Cornu is who Chris is talking to and she is from Season 11. This was the New Orleans season. Rumors were flying that Alyssa was also dating a MAFS alum but nothing was confirmed.
Mark Maher and Lindsey Georgoulis
The relationship between Mark Maher and Lindsey Georgoulis wasn’t without its difficulties. For example, his seeming addiction to social media sparked a number of debates between them.
The pair decided to give their marriage a chance despite their difficulties. On Decision Day, Lindsey exclaimed that she believed that Mark is honest and kind, and she wanted to stay married.
Mark agreed and believed they would have a nice life together.
But, only five months later, all would crumble. It was some of the worst disagreements Mark ever had in my life, which he admitted to host Kevin Frazier during the season reunion special, which aired on May 18.
Lindsey, meanwhile, relocated across the nation to California.
During the Married at First Sight: Where Are They Now special, the couple reconciled, and Lindsey used the occasion to express her regret for calling her ex-husband a “pathetic f-king loser” in the now-famous bowling alley scene.
Jasmina Outar and Michael Morency
Pastor Cal gave Jasmina Outar and Michael Morency a pep talk before they made their decisions, despite the fact that they have battled to escape the “friendzone.”
It worked because on Decision Day, the couple ultimately chose to keep their marriage intact. Jasmina said to her husband, “I feel like I don’t know you enough, so you know, I want to get to know you more and stay married.” She continued, “I always said that I would never leave any type of relationship if I didn’t give 100 percent, and I can’t say that I gave 100 percent if I don’t try after this, so we’ll see how it goes.”
While they offered supporters optimism for a budding romance, the couple later admitted they split up two weeks after the last day of filming.
Michael approached Jasmina for a divorce as he continued to battle to escape the friend zone. Jasmina said that she put more effort into the relationship than Michael.
Olajuwon Dickerson and Katina Goode
Olajuwon Dickerson and Katina Goode faced some significant obstacles, particularly in light of his want for a “traditional wife.”
He added, “I want … someone who enjoys cooking and cleaning.” He continued, “How can I be sure that she is going to make me happy every single day?”
Olajuwon thought his wife’s cuisine was “inedible,” but on Decision Day, which aired in May 2022, the couple chose to give their marriage a shot and remain together.
“When I came into this marriage, I asked for a woman who’s more established in life. And those are the reasons why I would say no today,” Olajuwon said. He added, “But I will say this: I love our chemistry. I love who you are as a person. I love to be around you — and your effort is what made me overlook all those things.”
In November 2022, the Boston couple regrettably announced their separation.
However, less than a month later, the duo sparked reconciliation rumors after reuniting for a tropical vacation in December 2022. Once again their reunion was short-lived as the couple seemingly broke up again by February 2023.
Olajuwon wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post on February 9, 2023, “We both have made the decision to walk away from our marriage. We are officially legally separated.” He continued to say, “We leave with the utmost respect for each other. At this moment, we ask for space. Thank you to everyone who supported us.”
Noi Phommasak and Steve Moy
Given that Steve Moy is unemployed, Noi Phommasak was concerned about her financial security, but she made the decision to stay with her partner despite her concerns.
Dr. Viviana Coles described the couple as having a strong desire to have children and coming from close-knit families. They have the building blocks for a strong marriage, but only if they can resolve their financial problems and feel comfortable putting their trust in one another.
On Decision Day, Steve even got down on one knee and proposed to his wife once more in front of their fellow cast members.
He gave her a ring pop and then pulled out a diamond ring. He then asked her if she would be his “adventure companion, sushi partner, and my partner in life.”
However, on Saturday, July 9, only one month after the season finale aired, the pair revealed their separation in separate Instagram posts. Noi simply posted, “Divorce feels amazing,” next to a bikini shot.
So, not one of the couples managed to keep their marriage alive.
