‘LPBW’ Matt Roloff, Caryn Chandler Still Planning Wedding Or Calling It Off?

LPBW stars Matt Roloff and his fiance Caryn Chandler were supposed to be married by now. The TLC couple became engaged almost two years ago in April 2023. When they got engaged they were already a couple for six years. They were ready to commit and make their relationship permanent. Matt and Caryn were hoping for a fairly short engagement and planned to marry in May 2024. Unfortunately, the couple did not make that date a reality and they announced in August 2024 that they were delaying their wedding. Keep reading to find out about the many obstacles standing in the couple’s way preventing them from setting a date and venue for their big day. Are they even going to still get married?

Little People Big World: Matt And Caryn Planned To Quickly Marry

LPBW fans were very excited when they discovered Matt proposed to Caryn in April 2023. They were even more excited to learn the couple planned to wed in May of that same year. Obviously planning a wedding in that short amount of time was going to be tricky. However, May came and went and the couple did not get married. Neither Matt nor Caryn addressed the delay at the time. Very anxious fans noticed the May wedding date came and went and wondered what had gone wrong.

It wasn’t until August 2024 that the wedding of Little People Big World stars Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler was reported to be paused. At that point in time the couple did not have an exact date set for their wedding. All they knew was they wanted it to be by the end of the year. Now almost six months since learning of a postponement the status of the wedding remains unknown.

What Caused The Wedding Delay?

Little People Big World alum Matt Roloff’s mom Peggy Roloff’s health is in decline as she continues to get older. Peggy adores Caryn and is excited for her to become her daughter-in-law. In her eyes, Caryn is already family. Peggy and her late husband, Matt’s father, Ron Roloff, and Caryn’s parents were very close friends. However, since Ron passed away, Peggy’s care largely falls upon Matt. She’s getting older and requires more care. Still, the longer the couple waits to wed the likelihood her health could deteriorate more continues.

Another reason the LPBW wedding was put on hold was pumpkin season was looming. Of course that is the farm’s main income source also all hands were needed to ensure a profitable season. Once pumpkin season ended it was the holidays. Time seemingly got away from Matt and Caryn. Still, the couple remained very much committed to their life together just not on when Caryn would become Mrs Matt Roloff.

Little People Big World: Venue Is Still Up In The Air

LPBW alums Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler seem to not be in complete agreement over where to exchange vows. This is one of the reasons for the delay in wedding planning. Matt would love nothing more than to have their wedding on Roloff Farms. All four of his children had their weddings on the farm. Also, his ex-wife Amy Roloff and her husband Chris Marek had their wedding on Roloff Farms. However, Caryn would prefer a change of venue. After all the farm is so closely tied to Matt’s former life with Amy. Caryn wants their wedding to be the star of new traditions and special unique moments for them.

After much talking, the couple shared that they would love to have their dream wedding in Hawaii. So far that hasn’t become a solid plan.

Little People Big World fans are saddened to see Matt and Caryn continue to postpone their wedding. Right now, it seems the wedding of Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler is indefinitely on pause.
