It was just two weeks ago that 7 Little Johnstons star Liz Johnston went to Instagram to share that her daughter with Brice Bolden is five months old. Fans have been loving the content the family puts out of Leighton growing. This little girl is very loved by her entire family.

Now, Liz is sharing that she opted to have a controversial procedure done on Leighton. What did she do?

Liz went to Instagram Stories to share a short video of her holding Leighton. She captioned it that Leighty Bug got her ears pierced. Leighton was not crying and the tiny stud earring could be seen in her ears.

There are many parents who opt to do this simple procedure while their daughters are young and will not remember the poke that comes with it. Some still think it’s cruel and do not do while they are infants.

Pediatricians online recommend that parents wait until a baby is at least three months old to have their ears pierced. This is so they will have had two tetanus shots and be protected from possible infection. Of course, there is always a risk of infection if the newly pierced ears are not properly cared for.

Doctors also say that while getting a needle poked through one’s ear is not going to be painless, they also say it will almost feel like a pinch and will feel better shortly after the earring is shot through the ear lobe.

It appears her Aunt Emma Johnston may have been with them for the piercing. She also shared the video on her Instagram Stories.
