Lilah Roloff Diagnosed With Health Disorder

Little People Big World‘s Zach and Tori Roloff’s only daughter Lilah has been having difficulties recently. She has proven numerous times she is a little trooper. Lilah needed eye-glasses with her lazy eye and she was also a bit delayed in speech. But since little brother Josiah was born Lilah has come out of her shell and is catching up fast with brother Jackson. Lilah has become fearless which was never in her personality but recently she has blossomed. Her next obstacle is her concerning sleep and breathing.

What’s wrong with little Lilah Roloff?

Zach and Tori shared that Lilah had been having some sleep and breathing problems. The couple then took her in to monitor her breathing. Following the sleep study in a hospital, the couple disclosed on Tuesday, March 26, edition of Little People Big World that Lilah had been diagnosed with a “moderate form of sleep apnea”. Zach, 33, revealed in a confessional that “she’s probably going to need her tonsils taken out, and then, supposedly after that, the apnea goes away.

Lilah Will Need Surgery To Help

Tuesday, March 26, episode of Little People, Big World. “It looks like she will need to have her tonsils removed, and hopefully that will cure the apnea,” Zach, 33, revealed in a confessional.

Sleep apnea, which is commonly associated with loud snoring and persistent tiredness even after a full night’s sleep, is defined by the Mayo Clinic as a “potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts” throughout the night.

Zach Roloff explains dwarfism has higher risks

Zach clarified early in the show that the sleep study will also aid in ensuring Lilah is “safe” during anesthesia. “(Those who are dwarfed) may be more susceptible to medical problems because of the slight differences in the structure of our airways,” he said in a confessional.

In order “to make sure that there’s no obstructive sleep apnea,” sleep exams are advised for patients with dwarfism, according to Tori.

Lilah came through like a champ

Zach said he made an effort to acclimate Lilah so she wouldn’t be afraid of her sleep study. “I constantly remind her that stickers will be placed all over her head and that there will be a nurse present, among other things, so hopefully she has a good idea, but you never know with her,” he admitted in a confessional. “She has trouble recovering because she gets it in her head, gets scared, and then struggles.”

Zach and Tori Roloff tied the knot in 2015, has two sons: Josiah, 22, months, and Jackson, 6.

Lilah’s diagnosis revealed after Zach’s brain surgery

Lilah’s diagnosis of sleep apnea was revealed a year after Zach had emergency brain surgery. “Not precisely how our week was planned to go…” Zach was seen in hospital bed in February 2023. Tori, 31, wrote a caption for the photographs on Instagram, stating that Zach had undergone a “emergency shunt revision.”

Little People Big World fans have been through many surgeries with the whole Roloff family over the past 25 seasons. Fans recall Zach having surgery when he was a teen with mom Amy by his side. Jackson underwent his first bowed leg surgery on the show for the world to see. Jackson decided he did not want his second leg surgery filmed. Season 25 we all watched as Zach had his shunt surgery for water on his brain. There is no update on when Lilah will have her tonsil surgery to help with her breathing.
