Jordi Vilasuso Shares Huge Update On Baby Lucy’s Illness

Young and the Restless former star Jordi Vilasuso went to Instagram to share a new update on his newborn baby girl Lucy. She has been in the hospital fighting respiratory syncytial virus or RSV. Keep reading to find out how little Lucy is doing now.

Jordi Vilasuso shared a new update on Lucy

Former Young and the Restless star Jordi Vilasuso and his wife Kaitlin shared a new update on the health of their newborn daughter Lucy. In a previous post, they shared that Lucy had a partially collapsed right lung. She was being given oxygen and was struggling to breathe on her own.

Kaitlin began the post shared by both of them saying, “Lucy is HOME 😭🙏🏻 Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the outpouring of love and every.single.prayer (!!) lifted up for our sweet baby.”

She continued by thanking the hospital and nurses who took care of Lucy. “@childrensla – we are forever grateful for how well you took care of our girl. More on that when I’m a little less PTSDish, but forever grateful for the intelligence and compassion of each person who cared for her- especially her ICU nurses who are angels taking care of baby angels day in and day out.”

They shared a few photos of them leaving the hospital with Lucy to head home. There is another photo of Jordi holding her as well.

When it all started

Lucy was only a few weeks old when Jordi Vilasuso and Kaitlin went to social media to once again ask their family and friends for prayers. Lucy had become very ill and they took her to the emergency room.

They said, “We found out Monday that Lucy had RSV and by Monday night she had been admitted to the hospital w/ difficulty breathing. Last night, things unexpectedly took a turn for the worse and she was moved to NICU.”

Kaitlin had also had a difficult pregnancy with Lucy as her body was struggling to carry the pregnancy. The couple were often asking for prayers for their sweet baby girl. She was born nearly a month early and celebrated her original due date and one-month milestone while in the hospital.

Now, after a very stressful time, they are home together as a family. The couple has two other children.
